Punks a hard one for me to dislike. It helps that in the world of pro wrestling crimes his are all misdemeanours compared to all the truly despicable acts that have been carried out. It also helps that his incredibly thin skin and pettiness is a great source of enjoyment to me. He’s got good hair again too.

So, I was the timekeeper on that show (and did a little ring announcing for the FWA and Futureshock around the time), and was running around generally helping out with stuff. At that show beforehand, I see AJ Styles and CM Punk standing around looking uncertain and annoyed. I go up and ask what's up, and they're like "We were told to take a table here, but there's no table'. Nothing to do with me, but I tell them I'll go right now and get that sorted. AJ is all 'Thank you, man, I appreciate that'. and Punk was just doing his best death glare at me. 

Five minutes later, I've got a table for them. AJ's very nice to me, Punk's all like 'took fucking long enough' and continues giving me the death stare while I walk away. Thing is, it didn't come across as intimidating - just chippy and weird behaviour because, otherwise, everyone was very chilled.

I was probably lucky there weren't muffins and a press conference around.

I apologise if it wasn't you but I remember someone on here telling the story of meeting Danielson at an All Star show and he was wearing a mask and wrestling under the American Dragon name. When they met him and asked about ROH he pretended he wasn't Danielson and had no idea who or what they were talking about. Which tbh I thought was pretty funny and after seeing his sense of humour on things since he was just playing about.

If he was there as Bryan Danielson and couldn't be arsed discussing ROH with a fan that is a little bit off. Nothing at the level off the other dickheads mentioned in this thread though.

Couldn't buy into Rockstar Spuds plucky little underdog character because I met him a fair few times when he was the king of BritWres and on each occasion he was an absolute dickhead to the point of being a bully. As harsh as it may sound, I thought his 'WWE released me' video where he started crying was absolutely pathetic.

If it was anyone else I'd feel for them, but fuck Spud.

I met CM Punk during an FWA show he and Colt Cabana were over for and went from being a huge fan to thinking he was an absolute twat.

At the time though I just thought he was arrogant and up his own arse. Even though I thought he was a twat I still thought he was insanely cool.

His first run in WWE I still thoroughly enjoyed. I felt he was a massive breath of fresh air and again the coolest thing going.

Ever since he did the podcast with Cabana after he left though I've never been able to take him seriously and that's only gotten worse.

Whenever anyone says anything even remotely negative about him during promos/in ring segments I can't focus on it because he looks like he's about to burst into an angry rage cry at any moment.

The realisation that he actually wasn't the coolest guy going and was in fact a massive gimp with an insanely fragile ego has killed his act stone dead for me.

The Undertaker whenever he talks about MMA is hilarious to me as well. I'm sure he said before that if the UFC was around when he started wrestling he never would have became a wrestler.

To my knowledge he has zero martial arts background whatsoever, not even amateur wrestling.

He's just a big guy who most of his peers would never have challenged as it likely would have cost them their livelihood.

In his head though he seems to absolutely believe he'd leather guys like Brock Lesnar who he couldn't have lasted 60 seconds with.

The man spent the vast majority of his adult life playing a ghost yet is the first one to open his mouth and criticise others legitimacy.

Utter weirdo.

Alex Shane booking himself as a heel then shaking everyone's hands and thanking them for coming on the way out of the first Coventry Skydome show was something that always baffled me.

It was very, very similar but he did acknowledge it. The exchange was more like "I really enjoyed your ROH matches, X y and z" his reply "oh er thanks, signed the thingy and then turned away to the next person."

I've not had many unpleasant interactions with anyone of note, which I count myself lucky for, all things considered. Colt Cabana I always found to be a miserable prick and an absolute creep around women, though.

I met Mick Foley at a Meet & Greet before one of his stand-up shows, and he just couldn't even pretend to care. Very on-brand that he had a long chat with my then-girlfriend, wrote quite a lot on the picture he signed for her, and then all but grunted at me and just wrote "To Patrick" and signed the picture with nothing else.

 

In terms of just making people unwatchable, it's mostly Speaking Out stuff. There are people whose work I used to enjoy that I would never go back and watch now. I was a huge CHIKARA guy, worked and trained with a lot of their talent, was doing online seminars with Mike Quackenbush during the pandemic, and pretty much completely bought into his views on how wrestling works and how it should be presented. Gives me the horrors to even see his name on a card, or popping up as "someone you might know" on Facebook, now.

As mentioned yeah Cabana was an absolute fud. Thought he was a massige star and also as mentioned on numerous occasions I saw him being extremely creepy around women.

Also heard him "joking" about how excited he was to hear that the age of consent here was only 16.

Yeah, this is weird to hear for me. As I'm sure I've shared many times I went to see FCW (Gornal, not Florida) because I was chummy with a couple of Dave Moralez/Mastiff's many cousins, and Spud was there. After the show I insisted on buying him a pint, he crashed me a cig and we shared a bag of scratchings and went over the forthcoming 1PW weekender. It was very pleasant indeed! I'd love to say he ruined the title tournament for me, but considering I showed him the finished bracket and he just said "You're not far wrong" I probably ruined it for myself. I was. in fact, 0% wrong. Right down to knowing Abyss would go over AJ in the final because it made sense to create a need for a rematch. Needless to say, I had the last laugh.

The real funny thing about Taker was he was an absolutely awful pro Wrestler before Undertaker, thats a big part of the reason he was told to wrestle like a zombie. Go watch his early work, he is clueless, he just had height, nothing else. So the idea he would have taken up MMA and succeed is absolutely hilarious on so many levels.
