Edge was a dumb as fuck name, so Cope is no better or worse, suck it haters!

As for the pointer sisters @DavidB6937 and @RedTwoster I thought it was fun. Considering some of the shit themes we’ve had for Wrestling over the years, I thought it was fine, if not wild to have that. Do I want it every week, not really, but if they did, who cares, most episodes have a cold open now days anyway, can’t remember I last saw an AEW tv with an intro (maybe that changes with MAX, no idea). But yeah I didn’t hate it at all.

I’ve changed my mind. “Cope,” doesn’t sound half as bad when it could have been, “Ledgend.”

Rated R Bellend more like.

Edge for all his desire to free himself from the McMahon yoke of tyranny is still WWE through and through. Stupid mononyms is a WWE trait. From Akam to Zaria there are still loads of them now and there alvvays has been.

Cope is stupid but it's not any stupider than anything else. It's not like he's called Kurrrgan or Michin is it.

I'm not sure it's the newness that people object to. It's the shitness.

Yeah, I think considering what's followed in this thread, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I enjoyed the show, though I'm surprised on their big Max debut, they didn't include Ospraey, Omega or Okada (beyond a video package) on the show. I guess Cope is probably their biggest ratings draw at the mo, but surely there was room for those guys?

Edit: Forgot to mention my favourite thing. As others, thought the Ricochet angle was excellent, and possibly the best thing I've ever seen him do outside the ring. The deranged version of that weird insecure/cocky laugh he's been doing was great, and his suit getting covered in Swerve's blood looked gruesome and awesome. Couldn't figure out why the scissors though. I originally assumed he was going to cut off some of Swerve's hair, but he didn't, so I can only assume that it's because Swerve covered him in paper and scissors beats paper?  There's surely a better answer than that.

Only difference being we're behaving like tits on a niche online forum and not rolling this shit out in front of millions.

In terms of the show its much like Raw on Netflix. Can't spunk absolutely everything the first go. Need something to hook them in the week after and beyond.

1) I thought the new intro was someone doing a satire when I saw it on Twitter in the dead of night.

2) 'Cope' is a worse wrestler name than any of the old, one-word WWE names, like Theory or Riddle.

3) Am well up for Jarrett winning the World title.

I mean it’s his actual name, it’s his actual nickname. But sure EDGE.

By the way, I don’t think it’s great, I was fine with Adam Copeland, but why is this such a big deal?

Did Ricochet ever work heel in WWE or elsewhere. He's someone I don't pay much attention too because I'm not that arsed about him, but if this is his first heel run, it might be the missing piece for him.

I believe a while ago in PWG but not sure what he was like.

It's not. And to be honest I don't think anyone has said it IS. Most people have said its shit and then taken the piss but that's about it.

As with WWE and the rest, there will be stuff that people like and stuff they don't about AEW and that's just fine. They're allowed some shit stuff in amongst all the good too.
