Chili Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Awww, Big E. Lovely fella, what does he do in WWE these days, he's someone I hope even in their corporate cunt era that they keep on the payroll somehow just so he's still earning. Quote

It was nice enough. A cute new take on an old trope. And then the Big E thing happens just past the one minute mark and I’m left crying at a cartoon unicorn. Fucking hell! Phenomenal. They should air this on Dynamite. Yeah the Big E nod was brilliant. But I totally agree the whole "breaking chains" thing is incredibly passe. Oh... Im sorry you were consistently pushed for ten years and given fame, family security and a shit ton of money.... how terrible! Anyway roll on their AEW run. New Day vs Edge & Christian will do a decent number. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted July 29 Paid Members Posted July 29 I hope the next person who jumps ship to WWE from AEW makes a video of themselves breaking in to prison. Quote

Arguably the most pushed tag team in a decade or more, one was the WWF champ and the other was King of the Ring. 😂 Good luck to them though, seem good lads. Quote

Can't imagine why they'd be feeling bitter having worked their arses off for years, signed contracts in good faith to stay in a place they love only for a company that pays 50 times their wage in dividends to Nick Khan to renege on the deals. They clearly love WWE, so I don't think anyone should get butthurt about it. TKO has clearly changed the dynamic for these lads. Great video. Classy stuff and well produced. Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted July 30 Paid Members Posted July 30 I do hope The New Day thrive in AEW or wherever they land, but that video was cringe as fuck for me. Appreciate that's not the prevailing sentiment, but I find the "escaping prison" videos just a bit lame. Again, perfectly understand the reasoning, just doesn't do anything for me. Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted July 30 Paid Members Posted July 30 They weren't in prison, they were chained up in a circus. I think the clear implication is they've left their caricatures behind and are off to be themselves. Quote
Chili Posted July 30 Posted July 30 These breaking out of prison videos don't air on TV so my giving of fucks is at none. Though if Rey Fenix is still being as rarely used as he's spoke about on here, putting him back in means we'd at least know where he is. Quote
AshC Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Apparently, it used AI. First ever heel turn before a debut. Quote
Paid Members RedTwoster Posted August 20 Paid Members Posted August 20 Ilja Dragunov is leaving WWE, according to PWInsider. There’s a danger in saying ‘AEW should sign them’ with every WWE departure, but this guy is one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet, never really getting to find his groove in WWE. AEW should absolutely bring him in, he’d be a much better fit there. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Absolutely fucking puzzling how they've treated him. So many great match options for him in AEW. Would be one of their most exciting signings for me. Quote
