Are they pissing about on NXT or the main roster given there was so internal crowing about pushing the tag division and then sacking the Motorcity Machine Guns days later.

Anyway, good luck to Big Bill. His AEW run petered out but it was a real career revival for him on goodwill from fans alone.

His AEW run petered out because he got trapped in the Jericho vortex. Him and that Keith Bryan just hung around with Jericho until he disappeared.

I'm glad he's improved. He was awful in WWE last he was there. His feud with Bryan was hideous. And felt like it went on for three months.

I completely understand why Big Bill/Cass might want to leave AEW - Tony Khan is like a reverse Vince McMahon in the sense that he doesn’t seem to be a fan of big man wrestlers, and puts a lot of value on outstanding ring ability. Case has improved a hell of a lot, but you’re never going to get the kind of matches from him that you would from AEW’s top wrestlers.

With that in mind, the ceiling for him in WWE is going to be much higher (…helpful given that he’s 7 ft tall) and with the departure of New Day there’s probably decent merch money to be made from a reunited Enzo and Cass. And if he impresses, I’m sure there would be another opportunity for him as a singles wrestler. He’s great on the mic, and he’s absolutely someone I could see returning to the company and doing a Drew McIntyre, working his way towards a World title.

He probably sees it as a low risk move, worst case, he’ll be in a similar position the one he was in with AEW.

Definitely has to be this doesn't it? In terms of people jumping, it's not like he has much to lose. If it doesn't work out, he'll have more recent WWE/NXT recognition on the indies as well as AEW.

Yes, I think that's right. There's a good chance he'll land in a better position in WWE but if he doesn't, he's not throwing away a whole lot. The only thing worth considering these days is that if you sign with AEW, you seem to be guaranteed the length of the contract. WWE can chuck you with 90 days notice.

I like Cass. He's not brilliant. Much like Lance Archer, he's way better than he was but he's an average worker, particularly when you see his stuff live. He talks much better these days though and looks the business. He should do OK there. He's also 39 so only 5 or 6 years too young to be a main event talent.

I'd be tempted to forget his past names and come up with something new. It's a pity his real name isn't a bit more suitable for wrestling. Big Cass and Big Bill aren't star names. I'd forgotten he used to be called Colin. Horrific. Is it finally time for "Titan"?

given the talk is putting him back with Enzo, it's just Triple H going back to one of his three booking ideas, which is "remember when you liked NXT?". I'd be amazed if he's anything other than Big Cass just doing the old schtick again.

If you were in the HHH era of NXT and you can't get re-hired by Humble then you must have been a wrong un. Wasn't Cass let go the first Time because of his strong MAGA opinions. If that is the case he will quickly pin Penta for the IC title. All the title holders in AAA and then anyone else who isn't American in WWE. I'd imagine that Canadian Sami Zayn will be pinned in less than a minute by Big Cass whenever they cross paths.

That was my recollection, yeah. And chunks of the locker room shunning him because of it.

Wonder what's changed...?

Getting his extra curricular activities and mental health issues in order and working very hard on the indies, TNA and then AEW to get WWE's eyes on him again. He might still be a fucking maga loon mind you. He was probably gutted when Jericho left for a bit actually.
