It feels like an age ago so it could all be water under the bridge now, TK loves a trio (even if they don't defend their titles) and I can't see MVP wrestling regularly so It could still happen, I guess it will also depend on how much MVP/Shelton/Bobby push for it. Im not sure that matters. Money is money in wrestling. Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted February 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 8, 2025 At the risk of invoking the dreaded “good in Japan” I would enjoy AOP as a classic monster heel foreign tag team over there. Quote

Paid Members RedTwoster Posted February 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 8, 2025 I really hope AEW or TNA pick up Sonya Deville. She’s great on the mic and good in ring too - she had much more to offer than she was able to show in the limited role she had in WWE. Cedric Alexander being let go is no surprise, and I’d have to assume he’ll end up part of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. AOP didn’t make much of an impact after leaving WWE first time round, so goodness knows what happens to them. I could see Blair Davenport in TNA, but wherever she goes, you’d have to assume it’s last chance saloon for her; she’s not shown much of anything in either AEW or WWE. Duke Hudson was very underrated - decent on the mic, good in ring - I could see him ending up in TNA and building a bit of a name for himself, much as Steve Maclin did. Quote

Infinity Land Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 We've seen AOP on the indies. They never wrestled until they re-signed with WWE years later. All we had was the WES sideshow. Everyone else i'm sure there are spots for them, but most of the real full-time companies barely have TV time for who they have signed already. Quote
Merzbow Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 AOP are pure Billy Corgan's NWA fodder, I can't see them doing anything above that really. Quote

Yeah she's a versatile and well rounded performer, would be surprised if she doesn't find a role somewhere. Cedric Alexander is your classic wildly unnecessary AEW signing waiting to happen. He would be the example picture for the wikipedia article about that trope. He can do good matches, was allegedly under-utilised by WWE, he's ex-WWE and has become available, he has a solid Cagematch rating, he would add absolutely nothing to the massively bloated roster. I pray some restraint is shown but fear the worst. Edited February 8, 2025 by JLM Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 8, 2025 I like Sonya Deville as well. Not as much as the female fan who had a sign on Raw a couple of months ago that said "I WOULD LEAVE MY HUSBAND FOR YOU, SONYA". Could see her winning the women's title on TNA and doing a load on the indies, she'll be ok. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 8, 2025 (edited) Tony Khan currently sat watching his bootleg DVD of the Cruserweight Classic, nodding solemnly. ”Two hundred and fifty thousand a year…” This is what I’ll always remember Cedric Alexander for. They shoot an angle where Shane and Drew find a jobber to team with Roman. He ends up hitting some flashy moves, and you think the punchline is that he’s going to win. No. He still loses like a fucking chump. Then he unmasks and he and Roman have a big laugh as if they’ve somehow got one over. What a pair of losers. This was the go-home angle for the pay per view. Always a laugh to look back at Vince McMahon’s booking in those last few years. An actual lunatic. The only people in more need of an intervention were knobheads like me, somehow still watching. Infinity Land Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Isla Dawn looks to be another talent cut. Quote
METAL ON METAL Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 That’s a massive shame, I always felt there was so much more you could’ve done with Dawn as a solo wrestler. She has a great look, decent in the ring, has charisma and is a solid promo. But instead they just shoehorned her into a team. She did good work in NXT UK near the end against Satomura. Got to imagine Alba Fyre/Kay Lee Ray will be next. Quote
kidzero Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 It's sad about isla dawn thought she had the chops to have been a top heel on smackdown in a singles run. Another NXT UK alumni gone. Hopefully we see dawn in aew. Quote
Snitsky's back acne Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Isla Dawn and Alba Fayre seemed like they could maybe have something with their Scottish folklore/MacBeth witches vignettes but nothing really came of it. It's the 'Fallen Angel' - okay, so you wear religious garb but other than that you're not very 'Fallen Angel-y', Chris. Cool, so you and your mate hang out in the woods and set fire to shit but you're not very witchy, are you Isla? The conspiracy theorist in me says they ditched her because they want to bring Tessa in and Isla was one of the many who spoke out against Tessa in the past....but I'm sure that's not true. Quote
