These things obviously happen, I'm not discounting them, but it's not happening to everybody and there's a big balance of probability on who is likely to be targeted by this stuff. Late 30's white guy attending a work conference, or going to Disney, is likely to have a very different experience to outspoken political activist, or young brown-skinned person flying in from the Middle East. Dublin airport offers pre-clearance, meaning you do the US border checks with a guard there and, if accepted, you just saunter off the plane on arrival. I can imagine it being far less annoying to be knocked back in Ireland than it would be after a 7 hour flight across the ocean. Quote

My dad has lived in Chicago 10+ years with me doing multiple trips a year out there. This last trip i got triple checked on entry and baggage searched. I seem to have hands on searches at the airport now too Never an issue until this past year Its tough as a love American things food, nascar, wrestling and visiting these places but I'm really turned off by it atm. I don't know if they were more relaxed with the males as they were travelling as a family rather than solo Quote

Trump appears somewhat geographically challenged, saying "we're not going to have Russia or China as a neighbor" in relation to Greenland. If only there was an official US Government website that says how close Russia is to the US, which is significantly closer than Greenland is. Quote
