Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted September 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 15, 2025 Yeah saw that. Someone must’ve finally got him to put the crack pipe down and sit still for five minutes so they could explain to him how the process actually works. In his own country, the thick twat. I love how it’s being put out there that he’s “withdrawn” as if he ever had a chance to begin with. Quote

Granted, the fact she’s Rock’s daughter means she’s less likely to be fired - but it’s still very brave of her to use her platform in this way. It’s perfectly possible to condemn a murder while also refusing to sanitise what the victim stood for. Here’s hoping you don’t win worst non-wrestler at the UKFF Awards this year, Ava. It’s the least you deserve. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted October 17, 2025 Members Posted October 17, 2025 I honestly feel like I'm going mad with some of the statements from people I've seen over this. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/oct/17/government-officials-seek-lift-ban-maccabi-tel-aviv-fans-aston-villa-game Who knew that Maccabi had so many football fans, and that so many MPs were fans! For the unaware, their fans are well known for provocation and hooliganism (see Amsterdam last year) and the police couldn't "guarantee their safety" not because they are Jewish, but that they are absolute pieces of shit who chant about there "being no children left in Gaza" you know, for a laugh. The amount of people conflating Jews with Israelis...Well isn't that the very definition of antisemitism? Quote
deathrey Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 (edited) Our Prime Minister for one @SuperBacon. Birmingham will be where bears the brunt of this decision and they should get to decide what happens, not someone sat in his Ivory tower in London. Aston is enough of a shit hole without hooligans being let run rampant in it. It also has a high proportion of Muslim residence and inviting Israeli hooligans there is just asking for a disaster - which no doubt will be blamed on the residents, Edited October 17, 2025 by deathrey Quote

It's an accusation that doesn't hold up to scrutiny. The premise that as Israel is a majority Jewish state, then any criticism of the actions of the Israeli state is anti-Semitic. However if that argument is followed through to its logical conclusion, then it should also follow that as the UK has a similarly sized majority white population, then any criticism of the actions of the UK state is anti-white. Obviously that would be absurd. Quote

I didn't see this outrage when 2000 English hooligans were banned from attending Euro 2024 or when West Ham were banned from going to Freiburg. It's absolutely pathetic. I increasingly feel like what is happening in our society is mental, and it does my nut in. Quote

Obviously that would be absurd. Not quite - the premise is that Israel is the world's only majority Jewish, and officially Jewish, state. There are plenty white nations around, so criticising the UK could just be seen as just that. But you are right, it's absolute bollocks, and it's a dirty trick that right-wing Zionists regularly pull out to silence criticism. Essentially, there are at least five circles in the Venn diagram: Jews, Israelis, the Israeli government, right-wingers, and Zionists. None of these are all of the other - there are plenty of Jews who are neither Israeli nor Zionist, not all Zionists are Jewish nor Israeli, etc. Oddly, there are even left-wing Zionist movements, like Hashomer Hatzair. I also happen to know an Israeli lady who is anti-Zionist, and spent a lot of her career as a lawyer in Israel defending Palestinian prisoners in Israeli military courts. Famously, some of the biggest Zionists in the world are right-wing American evangelical Christian fundamentalists who funnel billions of dollars to Israel because they believe in some fucked-up prophecy that getting all the Jews out of America and into a land of their own will bring about Armageddon and the Rapture - they're actually anti-semitic. The aim of the right-wing Zionist is to convince the world that the "Jew" circle is exactly the same as all the others, and it is important not to let them win that battle. Paid Members Carbomb Posted October 20, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 20, 2025 The Israeli friend I mentioned in my previous post explained to me that "Maccabi" teams tend to be more right-wing and conservative, because of the militaristic implication of the term, whilst "Hapoel" means "worker", so teams with that name tend to be more lefty, pro-union, etc. Quote
