Guest Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) Your bacon is undercooked, one of your egg yolks is burst, there's no plate for your toast, the black pudding is covered in beans without intent and they expect you to eat the whole thing with just a knife. 10/10? I ask you... Edited September 12, 2022 by Duke Quote

Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted October 9, 2022 Author Awards Moderator Posted October 9, 2022 Absolutely glorious effort yesterday. Everything was cooked perfectly. There was a second hash brown under the toast and the poached eggs oozed throughout the plate when popped. Going to give it a 9.5 - would have been a perfect 10 if the place wasn’t empty resulting in me hearing the chef blathering on about the Marvel Universe and Kayne West throughout every sodding bite. A boozer in town called Ma Boyle’s, just in the shadow of the Liver Building. The quality of their food is rarely matched nearby. They also do the best Sunday Roast in town, for anyone in the area. Butch2000 Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Poached eggs? You need to Corkhill yourself. Quote

Sounds good, can't say I'll be in Liverpool any time soon but my brother in law is often up for the footy so I'll pass the place on when I see him. Anyone had one of those Toby carvery breakfast buffets recently? Quite fancy one when I'm back but notice they took black pudding off the menu which means the balance between quality and quantity is well in question. Quote

Black pudding only at the weekend for reasons I can't fathom. Quote
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted November 26, 2022 Paid Members Posted November 26, 2022 The Chalet near Keswick. Good meat quotient, could have done with another egg as I've got fuck all to dip the second slice of toast in. £10.50. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted November 26, 2022 Members Posted November 26, 2022 That looks excellent, albeit small for a tenner. I do like the non brand butter with "Butter" on it. A lovely touch. Quote

I'll give them a pass as it is a tourist spot. Plus, they provided an extra teapot full of hot water for extra tea-ing without me needing to ask. Quote
