Miro, too. It’s a shame injuries seem to be keeping him on the shelf for ages but his run as TNT champion shat over everything he ever did as Rusev and proved how wasted he was sitting at home whilst contracted to WWE.

Now hang on. Rusevs anti American US title run where they pretended he was russian culminating in him coming into Mania on a tank was absolutely wonderful and just as good as the TNT run.

I can't speak for Aleister Black's run on the main roster as I'd stopped watching by then, but I much preferred his 'dangerous kickboxer who is a bit spooky' presentation in NXT compared to his 'it's not makeup, it's a demon trying to get out' rambling incoherent nonsense Bray Wyatt-esque bollocks he's doing in AEW right now.

House of Black have spent at least two straight weeks standing in the dark talking about how mad they are...with FUEGO DEL SOL ffs.

I actually like The House of Black but they desperately need something decent to do before they end up like Andrade.

Bold prediction time.

Andrade won't be re-signed when his contract runs out.

YouTube suggested the edit of Ambrose's appearance on Austin's podcast and then a video of him cutting a shite promo wearing a gas mask. Amazing to see the difference hammered home about playing to his strengths as well as his general happiness in AEW vs WWE.  Still incredible they let Mox go, but built an empire around bland (personality wise, he's a beast in ring) Roman. Crazy.

There was a brilliant mini period before WrestleMania 32 where a few of us who went to the Big Sexy Dean Ambrose fan club dinners were convinced WWE had had a change of heart on Roman and were going to immediately switch the title to Ambrose at Roadblock. This is when he was a pair of converse laces soaked in Grey Goose from hanging out on Jericho's bus all the time, but it didn't matter. He was cutting fiery promos everywhere and the fantasy was invented in our heads. When he didn't go over Triple H at Roadblock we were convinced he'd go down swinging in a sort of Funk-esque bloodbath against Brock in WrestleMania and get solidified as The Man.

It worked out so much better for all involved in the long run.

It took Andrade ages to get going in NXT as well. It was adding Zelina to the act that made him start to click more than anything. She was such a huge part of what made him work in WWE. The AFO aren’t Zelina and while I loved the matches with PAC, they’re the only great things Andrade’s done in a year of AEW. I wouldn’t miss him if they cut their losses and got rid of him.

Andrade should have won that TNT title match a few weeks back, I was fully expecting him too as well.

Great worker, really hope something clicks for him sooner rather then never.

Why though? He’s a poor promo, he’s competent in the ring but there are many better workers. He doesn’t stand out at all in a fed that has a stacked roster, and he’s probably costing a pretty penny. I’d not be sad for him to go tbh.

I’m trying to remember who was involved in the triple threat, I think it was Darby and Sammy.

Darby has no need for the title, his involvement with Sting is more then enough and he’ll always be slotted in around the upper midcard, Sammy was starting a feud with Dan Lamberts lot, the title isn’t needed for that feud.

Yea Andrade is a shit promo but he’s always had a mouthpiece.

To be fair on Andrade, his time in AEW has been blighted by bad decision after bad decision. Pairing him with Vickie was a bad idea. Same goes for Chavo. The brief stint with Malaki Black didn’t work, the Matt Hardy story was abysmal and the AFO is dead on arrival. And it’s not as if these things were unforeseeable. I think Tony Khan is as much to blame as anyone for Andrade failing (or whatever 30-year veteran advised him on this character).

I like Andrade but even if they gave him good shit, he was swamped at his arrival in a sea of big personalities... And Cody got his mitts on him for the rent.

I think they're basically putting them on hold until Fenix is healthy and Pac is back from whatever he's currently doing so they can get back to the House of Black vs Death Triangle feud.
