Can anyone see a split for Undisputed Elite coming tonight? Seems a pretty crap team to go up against unless it's just for a simple beat up post match. I think there'll be some big change happening or a reappearance of someone perhaps White or Omega?

I can’t foresee any finish other than Hook winning, but being so impressed with Danhausen that he offers him a crisp afterwards. Hookhausen is born. They go a couple of months as a team, with Hook murdering folks whilst Danhausen curses them from the corner.

I enjoyed these interviews with FTR to build up their match. It's refreshing to have something so simple and realistic to build up a wrestling match. No faffing about or adding tension where it isn't needed. And they also keep it genuine by explaining why they wanted to face each other, and explaining that Cash hasn't had a singles match in two years so he's probably the underdog. The match might end up boring as hell, but I'm rooting for them to put on a good show.

Agreed, that was fantastic.

Different styles of wrestling will always be subjective. But one of the key elements hat sets AEW apart for me is the dialogue. The majority of promos and features like this don't feel forced - as Showtime said, it felt genuine and dare I say, somewhat real. You believed in every word they were saying, which in turn makes it easier to suspend your disbelief at the intricacies of how things are booked, how matches are constructed, etc. Just wonderful stuff. The match itself is going to be superb.

You can't apply the above logic to every AEW promo or feature, but it's night and day compared to WWE's content.

If a crisp isn't offered at the end now, I am going to be hugely disappointed.

That was a great promo video for this week's Dynamite. Lance Archer is pants on the promos though, isn't he? Completely ruined Jake's soft, subtle flow last week too.

It's absolutely brilliant. I just wish they'd built up to the match in some way, and used a package like this on TV. FTR are about as hot as anyone in that company right now, and they deserve far more than just a throwaway announcement for something like this.

As brilliant as AEW is on a weekly basis, they're pretty rubbish at making things feel like a big deal on their weekly TV shows.

I hope not. I'm not sure AEW has a wrestler who comes across as being as cool as Hook does. I'm not saying do it immediately, but the prospect of Hook facing off against Sammy for the TNT title before the end of the year is actually pretty exciting, if they choose to take that approach.

I'd be very surprised if they did. I think it's just designed to allow them to show a level of one-upsmanship, as Cole insists that they're all on the same page, to continue their storyline. I don't expect to see them split until Omega is back, and assuming he's healthy, I imagine the in-ring return of Omega will be one of the hooks for Forbidden Door.

I think this is more about introducing Bullet Club to AEW. Jay White plus [I don't know, I've not watched NJPW for a couple of years, but I gather GoD are gone, so... Evil? God, I hope not, but someone] to establish how dominant they are. Not, like, a big numbers game, but just making the clear link between The Bucks and Bullet Club.

They showed a condensed version of the package on Rampage, tbf. Got me interested, anyway.

Whenever I hear ‘Jericho Appreciation Society’ I can’t stop my mind going straight to “God bless strawberry jam and all the different varieties” and it means I can’t take them seriously. Doesn’t help when they keep veering close to Voodoo Kin Mafia territory in their promos either.
