Moxley. I know it seems silly saying he was, “held back,” or, “wasted,” when he was a World Champion and part of one of the most pushed acts of the last decade in The Shield, but he was never handpicked to be the guy, they always seemed to pick Seth and Roman over him, and he’s made an absolute show of them all since leaving. He’s the best and they’re morons for never giving him a proper shot at being the top guy. Never ever forget they had this man constantly pitching to do the stuff he’s now doing for fun on the independents, and they decided he should be sniffing hankies and wearing gas masks instead. Miro, too. It’s a shame injuries seem to be keeping him on the shelf for ages but his run as TNT champion shat over everything he ever did as Rusev and proved how wasted he was sitting at home whilst contracted to WWE. Brodie Lee was well on his way to doing the same. Some great matches, amazing promos, fun character work on BTE. And yet they supposedly had nothing for him. And of course, Sting. Maybe more than anyone, Sting has single-handedly exposed how blind WWE are to what they sometimes have. They paid this man to go to comic cons and sit at home for years! All those balconies he could have been diving off. All those chair shots he could’ve no-sold. All these acts they have that he could’ve given the rub to, like he’s done Darby. All those Sting masks he could have been disguising himself with. Unbelievable. Edited April 22, 2022 by Supremo Quote

I’m still holding out hope that he’s going to redeem the TNT title soon by coming back and murdering Sammy and Scorpio simultaneously! Also, not the same thing since they never even used him to actually, “waste,” him but this one image speaks more to WWE’s inability to spot talent than anything anyone could ever say. With the billions WWE make these days, I’m astonished they haven’t paid someone to somehow erase this image from the internet. It’s mind blowing they brought this lad in and didn’t immediately sign him up. Looks to have been in great shape at the time, too! Speaking of Sammy and Scorpio, it’s encouraging that they didn’t keep fighting against the tide and have embraced what a pair of insufferable pricks Sammy and Tay are as a couple. Crazy they’re still going ahead with the Scorpio and mixed-tag direction though. If anything, I mostly came out of that promo thinking Ethan Page has more upside than all of them. He was brilliant saying what everyone’s been thinking for weeks. Great fire. There’s probably a fun babyface run for him down the line. Edited April 22, 2022 by Supremo Quote

Go back to my posts in this very thread yesterday - I criticised them for their lazy booking and dodgy production. So spare me your bullshit. Good call on Eddie Kingston @Supremo. WWE actually offered him a deal twice. Firstly as a trainer at the PC which he turned down because he knew he would hate all the people he was training for getting the opportunities he rightly thought he should have got. And secondly as a manager after his Dynamite match with Cody, but he knew he would probably get fired in a month for kicking off at someone backstage so turned them down. Love him. Paid Members Supremo Posted April 22, 2022 Paid Members Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) It’s all I could think about watching Moxley have that belter with Oney Lorcan at Bloodsport the other week. This man is having these types of matches seemingly for fun, in front of a few hundred people. How much do you think GCW is paying guys? It can’t be much. But either way; he doesn’t need the money. He could phone it in every night if he wanted to. Yet he’s out there having bonkers, match of the year candidates for himself. Imagine mis-using this guy so much that he ends up depressed, hating wrestling and turning down a multi-million dollar contract. Edited April 22, 2022 by Supremo Quote
mrtrickio Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Andrade has a legitimate reason to bin off the AFO given they couldn't stop him from losing this week. Dump the lot of them and let him, reset and go on his own and do what he should've done from day one Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 22, 2022 Paid Members Posted April 22, 2022 Andrade is basically already a complete act. He's great. Except they've lumbered him with the AHFO stuff, no decent storylines and he loses all the time and it's dragged him way down. Dump that shit and give him something to work with and a proper feud and you're good to go. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted April 22, 2022 Paid Members Posted April 22, 2022 On Punk doing the Bret Hart tribute matches: Meltzer is reporting that WWE have signed Bret up to a lucrative contract, probably out of fear of him going to AEW, what with the Owen tournament and all the references. So yeah, I won’t hear a bad word said about Punk. He got Bret some money to buy an even bigger TV to watch his episode of The Simpsons on. Quote

That’s magnificent and is yet another insight into the absolute fucking mental mind of one Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Quote

Andrade should have, and seemed to be aiming to, come in as a masked Mexican kingpin, like Dario Cueto if he was actually Matanza under the suit. His vignettes should've been sepia-toned lens-flared smiling threats from huge corporate offices surrounded by Central American heritage and rich mahogany. Instead, he got stuck with Hardy half-assed Big Money, having stilted stuttering arguments in stairwells. Quote

Infinity Land Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 If you thought the trio pairing of Lee Moriarty, Brock Johnson, and Dante Martin was a bit random. A partial explanation could be that Darius Martin is out injured and expected to be out for a while again. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 22, 2022 Paid Members Posted April 22, 2022 They've got to get rid of Jim Ross. He barely sounds alive at this point. You can't have this miserable, tired old fucker as the central voice of your bright young wrestling company. An absolute drag during that Punk match. They need Schiavone and a heel co-commentator. Excalibur is an idiot. Quote
