Today I learned that Apollo Crews is still wrestling for WWE. I haven't heard anyone even mention him name in years. Had a quick look on CageMatch and it seems like he hasn't won a singles match since an appearance on Main Event in December 2023.

Yeah he had an NXT run last year which didn’t really amount to much. More recently he’s been in a very odd tag team with Baron Corbin on Smackdown feuding with Legado El Fantasma. Surprised he’s been kept around as long as he has to be honest as he’s never really shown much.

Listening to excellent FWA reviews podcast Nuffink and Like It I discovered that Brandon Thomas of The Family in the FWA is the brother of the tag team the Hunter Brothers I don't know if that is common knowledge that passed me by, but Brandon seems to be from a completely different time in wrestling to Jim and Lee, in my mind at least.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. They're from the same area but I'm certain they're not brothers.

If they are brothers, I used to knock about with all 3 of them and had absolutely no idea that was the case.

I don't know if this is one of those Bob Hollness played the sax solo on Baker Street moments but Kieran seemed pretty sure it was true.

Yeah it’s an edit. The song was written specifically for Cody after he left WWE.

yeah the band is Downstait. I only know this because Matt Cardona talks about them a lot on his podcast as they did his Indy music. However, the worked with WWE for a bit (which I didn't know) and found this on Last FM

Downstait is a band from Fort Wayne, Indiana. They are known among pro wrestling fans for creating entrance themes for Cody Rhodes (“Kingdom”), The Miz (“I Came To Play”), Dolph Ziggler (“Here To Show The World” & “Perfection”), Alex Riley (“Say It To My Face”), Chelsea Greene (“Hot Mess”), Brit Baker (“The Epic”), Buddy Matthews (“Secret No More”), Dustin Rhodes (“Goldstew”), Matt Cardona (“When The Lights Go Down”) and many others

TIL that Mickie James' mum's surname is Knuckles, and her parents divorced when young - meaning she had a real chance of also legitimately being Mickie Knuckles. And the actual Mickie Knuckles' name is her real name. The idea that there could be two Mickie Knuckles is interesting but easily possible, but that they both end up in wrestling is one hell of a coincidence.
