Maybe they should try something new, like guest managers. Give it, say, Martin Jol for two weeks. Then Tim Sherwood. Then Alexander Armstrong. And so on.

As long as we get a Price is Right version one week when Bob Barker takes the helm.

I know clubs just constantly make snap, short-term decisions so we shouldn't be surprised by anything but sacking Pochettino to end up in this mess less than two years later is just insane by anyone's standards. I know they thought they were going to appoint Mourinho, win some stuff and deal with the consequences later (and admittedly for about a week last autumn, I thought they just might) but I can't think of anyone who didn't think Jose was a bad fit and he'd leave in his usual cloud of chaos in a couple of years. Just horrible management of any business.

The thing is any decent manager will have them over a barrel now because with every failed appointment they become increasingly more desperate. Luckily they stopped looking at decent managers about three failed appointments ago so that shouldn’t be too big an issue.

Feels good to have Spurs back. Maybe we can talk about how Arsenal got blown out of the water by Aston Villa for Buendia as well.

It’s time for The Count Of Monte Bisto to take north London by storm. Big Sam will get rid of that cheese store on day one and bring back pie and bovril.

Not content with that, they then chucked £25m on the table for Smith-Rowe. Having taken their keeper last year, I think they're just taking the piss at this point.

Yeah, Grealish will be posing in a City shirt the day after England get knocked out won’t he? Maybe they’ll go back in for Willock.

Second choice keeper, who I personally would have preferred to Leno, but still second choice in fairness. Sold for a tidy sum too.

There isn't a hope in hell they were ever getting Smith-Rowe. At this point it would take a ridiculous bid for him to be sold especially as it looks like he's about to sign a big new bumper contract.

Switching teams is his speciality, so I don't see why it wouldn't extend to club level.

Yeah, Villa were openly mocking us with that bid for ESR. A proper 'stop he's already dead' moment (I'm not going to post the pic like a right old SheepMask would).

I would love for us to sign Maddison. There's no chance Graelish would move to us but I think Maddison is a possibility. Some fans asking why he would downgrade because Leicester are in Europe- its the bloody Europa. We didn't attract players over the past few years because we were in Europa, we attracted them because of money. If Leicester hadn't bottled qualifying for the Champions League then it would be a different matter.

There’s no need for anyone to direct banter at Spurs, they’re doing it to themselves, in exponential levels.

See, you got in before I could mention that I would LOVE a season where we’re actually managed by anonymous instructions via a laptop.
