Punk says something about Trump. Jericho says something about sucking blood money cocks. Then they hug like when Milhouse meets his Shelbyville doppelganger.

Is he actually done with AEW? Are these actual rumours, or just counting abs and getting WWE?

I wasn't sure I could be less interested in WWE right now... but imagine a Jericho/Rollins feud. Good grief. The immovable vortex vs the unstoppable... vortex.

It’s Jericho’s contract year. He hasn’t been brought back to television despite not touring with his band and or having an injury. There’s literally nothing left for him to do in AEW. He’s got rid of the Dynamite Gut and replaced it with Smackdown Abs.

All this, combined with the fact that Hunter’s currently signing any old shitarse once their AEW contract runs out.

Seems an inevitability. Put two and two together and get The Straight Edge Jets.

This is the thing for me, AEW has moved on and he doesn't really fit now.

I's imagine, at least in his own delusional mind, Jericho has seen the Cena retirement tour and thought "I could do that". I bet he figured he could easily fit himself back into a cushy part time deal and a final run ready for the HOF.

I would say the one thing left for him to do is actually put over Big Bill. If his last appearance turns out to be him walking out on Bill and Bryan Keith without putting ever of them over, and consigning them to barely-on-TV midgard purgatory, that's worse than anyone who got stuck in the Jericho Vortex. But what's more telling is how little he's missed, and how much better the show as a whole is without him around.

I've seen conflicting reports on when his contract is actually up - either October or December seem the most likely - and I do wonder if the Cena retirement tour is part of his decision-making; not so much "I could do that", as thinking the odds are that his last big payday could be as one of Cena's final opponents, or a Rumble-to-Mania run next year, knowing that WWE will be down one reliable "legend" to stick on the card.

Feuding with Jericho in 2005 is when the duelling chants started for Cena. It would be a fitting end for the character to have one last match with Chris Jericho.

It’ll be a guaranteed Worst Match and Worst Feud of the Year Contender. A game of, “who’s the most washed?” They’ll be wrestling like they’re underwater. Cena, badly miscast as a heel, going, “YOU PEOPLE.” Jericho, badly miscast as a babyface going, “OH YEAH! PARTY TIME, BABY!”

Can’t wait.

Punk and Jericho, in a tag team named 'A LITTLE BIT OF THE SHLOER', vs Cena and Travis Scott. Rock comes out at the end to look at his arm.

What a way for this run to end.

Good RAW overall,

But Becky Lynch really is the worst actress they've got right, as soon as she opens her mouth?

It's like an amateur drama club asked someone to play a wrestler and the one kid you feel bad saying no to has gone on a run with a character and you haven't the heart to stop it.

I've took to any segments with her either being fast forward or do something else in the background like make a cup of Tea

This is spot on, and she's always been this shit. Her promo voice is absolutely horrendous and she's always looked clunky in the ring. It baffled me for years that she got over to the extent that she did, or that anyone considered her much cop.

When Jericho has been asked in interviews about retiring in the past few years he's always said that as long as he feels like he can still potentially have the match of the night on any given night he'll keep wrestling. Considering how poor his in-ring in 2025 has been he should be realising that time has come.

He's smart enough to know that the fans in AEW have got sick of him and you'd think he'd be aware that he can't keep up with the top guys there in the ring anymore either. A final run in WWE makes a lot of sense. He can play the greatest hits, won't have to worry about having good matches, make a lot of money and go out on a high.

I always gave Jericho a bit of a minor pass because I always knew he annoyingly had something possibly good come out of nowhere and he'd be fun again, but he spent a year being unbearable and then didn't put Big Bill over on the way out. Must have seen the way Rock didn't do the obvious Wrestlemania run in to show arse and thought "ah you see Tony, they don't need me to get pinned by Bill, but him telling me he's lost faith is enough to tell the story".

As much as I don't think Paul Helmsley is doing some machiavellian fucking about with CM Punk as much as people think. I hope before TKO sack him eventually that he does treat Jericho with the irrelevance he deserves now. He's Matt Hardy with more goodwill. There's money in Punk still somewhere, you've got a rumble nostalgia pop and a shit second match on the card with Jericho at a Mania. Nothing else. Still they might end up hiring his wife.

The opinion which i'll stand by until the end of time is that Jericho was never much good. I just couldn't into his matches. He was always just the wrong type of scruffy for me in his execution, all flailing limbs and unconvincing offence.

He was a sometimes decent character act and a 3* ring general.

The thing is, on a roster of potentially red hot fresh wrestlers modern day Jericho sticks out like a sore thumb. On a WWE same as it ever was card he fits like a glove. He won’t enhance a WWE show but he won’t drag it down anymore than it already is either.

Tbf AEW have had their use out of Jericho; Big names being first champ to help establish them.

A 'surprise' Rumble entrant with a HOF headline spot seems to be in his 2026 diary.

So, whos going to wrestle Bella at Evolution 2 now?
