Reminds me, whatever else I think of Rob (and in general, I think he's a gimp), I always liked the line "I want to write Karma Police. They've got me writing Karma Chameleon."

I mean.. not the Culture Club slander, obviously not, but the implication that even he knew Rock DJ was shite.

Slating Limp Bizkit and Robbie. Awful taste.

Let’s not be hasty here. I’m not against Henry Rollins ever showing up.

That's fine. They are allowed to have one.

Brand split is well and truly out of the window at the moment isn't it.

Hoping we don't go down the predictable route of Cody beating Cena at Summerslam only for Rollins to cash in straight away.

Watched Goldberg's brilliant return promo in 2016 again. Funny to hear his superb mic-drop moment "Brock Lesnar, you're last!" again. 8 and half years on. The man who sweats cutting promos is still trying to be a superhero.

I'm still reeling from the thought that he and Lesnar could have THAT match at Mania 33, completely exorcising the ghost of Mania XX, and that he decided to ever wrestle again.

It is funny how quickly things have come back around. The Circle of Life. Feels like only yesterday we had the boom, then we had everything falling apart, then we had fans hijacking shows, and now we’ve got entitled, “smart,” fans moaning about stuff and thinking they know best, even when they don’t.

I saw a number of people saying Jey Uso losing the title in order for them to book Gunther vs. Goldberg was similar to when Goldberg beat The Fiend for the title in 2020. Too fucking right it’s similar. In both cases they took the belt off of a shitase whopper because it was time for the Big Boys to Play.

Even in 2025, when he’s seemingly kept together by hopes, dreams and superglue. Limping around like the Tin Man. Goldberg is still Goldberg. He always has the aura. He always gets the big reaction. I’m far more excited to watch this Goldberg vs. Gunther match than anything that’ll ever involve Jey Uso. Maybe it’ll be a hilarious disaster like the Undertaker match. Or maybe it’ll be a miracle like the Bobby Lashley match. Either way, I’ll be tuning in. Give me my three minutes of madness.

The same fans moaning about Gunther vs. Goldberg also moaned about Gunther vs. Pat McAfee and that fucking ruled. If anyone can get anything out of Goldberg at this point it’s Gunther, who’s quietly proven himself to be one of the best Sports Entertainers in the game today. Him bottling it once Goldberg announced the match was brilliant. He’s the perfect shithouse bully. Plus, considering how their creative meetings have became ridiculous meta-wanks, I honestly wouldn’t put it past them to have Bret Hart somehow feature in the finish. The Excellence of Eye Roll Execution.

Rikishi moaning about Jey losing the belt needs to shut up, too. Your son is rubbish, Rikishi. He got put in the biggest storyline of the decade, was pushed far more than his talent ever deserved and ended up more over than anyone could have imagined. Count your lucky stars. You and your sons got far more than Hunter owed you for running over Stone Cold for him.

Raw was good. These King of the Ring Four Ways has been a breath of fresh air. Like WWE’s (much shitter) version of the Continental Classic. Tight, focussed, sports-orientated booking, garnished with the usual bullshit on top. I like it.

However, it is quite funny that all these wrestlers are fighting to earn the elusive World Title Shot, yet the two current Number One Contenders are CM Punk (lost his last five televised matches, hasn’t won a match since February) and Goldberg (four losses and one win in his last five matches, hasn’t won a match since 2021). Kind of undermines everything, doesn’t it?

Gutted for Liv Morgan. Even if that’s the end of her in 2025, I still doubt anyone will beat her for Most Improved. Already excited for her to come back and discover Dirty Dom has been shagging Roxanne. I’d make that the Wrestlemania storyline.

It feels more and more likely that Cody wins King of the Ring, beats Cena at Summerslam, and they quickly fuck this this heel run off. Cut your losses. It’s a failure. In retrospect, I like to think Cena pulling this amazing face at the Royal Rumble was him getting a premonition for how shit his Retirement Year was going to be.

Raw as a whole has improved massively for them just dropping the Seth vs. Punk stuff. Narratively it made no sense: Seth and the Blues Brothers cost Punk his Money in the Bank qualifier without anyone ever mentioning it again, but then I’d have no problem buying it as canon that even the competitors themselves got bored of fighting one another. I dread the idea of them ever going back to it.

On Punk, I heard a great theory on What Culture which was that he’s doing this Saudi show, taking all the shots and eating all the shit now, so that when he goes back and wins The Royal Rumble it won’t be such a big story that he sucks blood-money covered dick. Makes sense. Right now, it feels like Cody vs. Punk is already pencilled in as the Mania Night Two Main Event.

No CM Punk this week. Just a video montage where - incredibly - they continued to push the hypocrite storyline. Luckily, history has taught us everything we need to know about The Punker. If he’s under loads of pressure, stressed out, with everyone taking shots at him, the best cause of action is to definitely send him home and give him time to endlessly refresh his social media and stew on things. No harm could ever come of that.

I still don’t think the match happens.

”Hey Phil, so for tonight’s promo Road Dogg has suggested we say your favourite meal is a Large Blood-Covered Willy Meal from McHypocrites….”

Thank fuck they took the belt off of Jey. Other than the women that work there, he’s the luckiest person to benefit from Vince going. People like doing the Yeet, that’s it, that’s all he’s got going for him. This isn’t Daniel Bryan and The Yes! Movement, that’s was over because Bryan was fucking great in ring and had a connection beyond the Yes! chant, the other is Jey Uso, the guy who spams the Superkick button cos he’s got fuck all else.
He quickly got found out after winning the Rumble, which itself was very much a “oh…….ok” moment, and let’s be honest only got the belt at Mania because as we’ve seen time & time again they don’t dare deviate from THE PLAN unless they absolutely have to. Having said that, pissing about with A-TownDown in the buildup didn’t do him any favours.

And let’s for argument sake say you just do the Gunther/Goldberg match but keep the belt on Jey- what are doing with him in the meantime? Who’s he facing? You’re then faced with putting the World title in a spot below a part-timers retirement match, which your crybaby fans will then only moan about even more, so get it off him and put it in a spot that has some meaning

In fairness, I’m not sure Gunther v Goldberg is the real issue. It just didn’t need the title belt. They’d already done a segment that had made it fair enough for Goldberg to challenge him without one.

For me, there was a ready made title feud for Sami to take the strap from Jey which would have created a big match feel. With no belt, that feud is pretty meaningless, has no reason to happen and probably not even on the table anymore.

It’s not so much “poor Jey” for me as it is common sense to book two money feuds over one.

They don't need to book money feuds, people will pay to turn up and chant YEET and sing-a-long with intro music. They just need to put any old shite out, which is what they are doing.

Jey is more than good enough and over enough to be a fairly decent champion if booked well. He rarely was. So those looking for a decent champ and storylines etc, he was never going to win them over because he wasn't given anything to work with.

If you look at the work he did with the Bloodline, he did some really heavy lifting there with Roman. He's capable of decent matches and being someone you want to invest time in to.

It's unfortunate that they've decided he just needs to yeet a lot and forget the rest. It shouldn't really need to be one or the other. Why can't he have an awesome entrance AND good booking? It's annoyingly lazy and short sighted.

I think his run was perfect to be honest. He got over naturally, got his big moment, had a few title defences, stayed over, dropped it and moved on.

It’s interesting that there’s been no mention of this being Goldberg’s retirement match so far, and I’m starting to wonder if he’s going to win the belt, before they run with Cena/Goldberg for both titles at some point. Not necessarily to unify them, but to continue Cena’s quest of ruining wrestling - I could see him making retiring Bill Goldberg part of that.

Judging by how difficult it looked for him to get to the ring in the first place, it'll be a miracle if he makes it through one match let alone two.
