After watching Cena's run as a heel and everything he's been saying and directing towards the kids for example there's literally no chance he's going to turn back before the years out, not convincingly and seriously. It was rumoured it would last till summerslam or that time but I can't see it now so his last year as a performer got hijacked by the rock and turned him into a amateur dramatics style panto villain surely he can't be overjoyed about it?

Men’s Speed Champion - El Grande Americano

Women’s Speed Champion - Sol Ruca

*Speed is the show on X most Wednesdays

Thanks pal. Surprised I didn't remember Fatu was US champ. The rest is a mystery.

I've never heard of these two Speed Champions. They must both be new acts?

I mean, if he shakes Cody's hand after he dethrones him (provided they don't stick the title on Rollins somehow before then), cuts a promo the next night and says he was wrong I think all is forgiven. It doesn't have to be that deep. HOF induction next year, job done.

Sol is a stand out on NXT, she’s also the Women’s North American Champion in that brand

El Grande is a muscular Lucha that people keep thinking is Chad Gable for some reason

This is the most shallow and skin deep wrestling promotion maybe ever. All he has to do is say he wanted to give the fans what they wanted before he retired and they'd go nuts. They're cheering him already anyway because the turn is so hollow.

I can't wait for SCG Radio to cover this in the year 3017

Thought I would try to watch this. I've not seen anything from WWE in ages but wanted to see the fallout of the Punk/Cena stuff from Smackdown.

Fastforwarded through the first chunk as life's too short for Seth Rollins. Then fastforwarded through Goldberg as I can't be arsed with him either. Watched Jade Cargill vs Roxanne Perez and Cargill still looks phenomenal but has regressed even more in-ring, shes really quite bad. A resounding success for the Performance Center. Roxanne Perez looks good but this match did her no favours.

Turned it off after that match. This is an awful product. The crowd was ridiculously quiet for the majority of Cargill/Perez though, so fair play on them for successfully educating their audience that the matches dont matter.

I must be a glutton for punishment because I actually watched the opening Rollins promo.

I know it's almost become cliche on here to slag Seth Rollins off but fucking hell. He spoke for about 10 minutes at the start of the show and said absolutely nothing, just a parade of meaningless buzz words and stupid WWE language. He's the "Visionary" and "the Prime Mover" and Heyman is "The Oracle".  Just shite.

It was pure 2004 Triple H rambling boring promo to kick off Raw. Just go out there and talk even though you have nothing to say.

To be fair, there are plenty of talented wrestlers who have emerged from the performance centre, particularly talented female wrestlers. Some people simply don’t take to wrestling, and the jury’s out on whether Cargill has it in her to get better. She’s had matches where she’s looked decent, but she is, at best, inconsistent.

Yeah, I’m not sure they can turn him back this soon without it seeming like they’ve brought a longer plan to a screeching halt. That might leave a darker mark on his final year than if they just saw whatever they had planned through.

Watched the show last night and had a thought (no spoilers here)

IF next year a heel, someone in a faction, like Bron,  reaches the KOTR final first like the Smackdown entry has, he should tease that he will disrupt the Raw semi final and get both competitors counted out by his stablemates meaning he would win the whole event as no one would progress to the final.

I mean, you set your stall out pretty clearly in that this was a pure hatewatch, and that's fair enough if you're that way inclined, but nevertheless this is a laughable dig. She wasn't made in the Performance Centre was she? She spent a short spell there to try to get her up to scratch after a THREE YEAR stint in AEW in which she wrestled less than 30 matches in total, which is nowhere close to enough to develop her ring work.

The PC's track record is rubbish, I won't dispute that, but you can't attribute Jade's shortcomings to it.

Agree with you on that last bit, and I'd love Jade to be a success because she looks and sounds so fantastic, but I presume the point be made is that given WWE don't tour like they used to anymore, she'll have gotten in all her reps at the PC over the last couple of years.

Jade's signing came at the height of the tribal shite online and those of a WWE persuasion were falling over themselves to tell everyone how great the WWE machine would make her. Maybe Twoster is right and she just doesn't have it, but their environment these days with no house shows and the crap teachers at the PC isn't one I'd bet my cheeseboard on being a success.

Yeah, that's fair enough. AEW could've done a lot better in developing her. They've got their own issues with developing green wrestlers, it's criminal how few matches Hook has had in 3 years or whatever. Although I do think while Cargill wasn't great in AEW, she's even worse now.

I wasn't intending it as a pure hatewatch, I was genuinely intrigued on how they would follow up the Cena/Punk stuff on Smackdown. But I will hold my hands up and say seeing Seth Rollins start the show probably did put me in a hatewatch state of mind.

I should probably stop giving them another chance every 9 months or so.

Absolutely agreed with jade Cargill it's absolutely astonishing how bad she still is with all the backing she's had and time to progress she has a phenomenal look but when that bell rings she is rotten.

I mean yeah they may try to pull it back and end as a face again but IMO it will look ridiculous and silly, he's still selling truck loads of merch and he's only got what nearly 15 dates left just keep it going end as a heel because that last night he'll get his flowers and thanks for all he has given us which will be out of respect and genuine response not making everything that terrible so just leave it now, it's sort of giving the fans the last thing we wanted from him for close to 20 year's which can be spun into a positive down the line.

This week's raw wasn't great this year will be discussed and studied down the line about how badly they've gone after creating a huge boom and resurgence only to kill it dead during the road to wrestlemania and beyond it's honestly unbelievable how dull and cold it's become.
