Yeah I forgot about that in all the other talk here. Absolutely fantastic promo and felt like he was back on track. It'll be such a shame if they just feed him to Goldberg because the image of him destroying Bill would be one they could use for years to come.

It was a great heel promo. Which the WWE crowd were cheering for all the big lines at the end about him destroying this old man and not letting his wife and kid watch the beatdown.

 

I don't watch a lot of WWE nowadays but between this and heel Cena's promo getting cheered to the rafters on Friday, is this how it is now ?

I wouldn’t say that’s how it is now, it’s just how it is currently. They don’t want to boo who WWE want them to.

As Gunther referenced, it’s not 1999 anymore and Bill Goldberg is nearly 60 years old. Gunther should absolutely massacre him, but he won’t because Bill have to get in at least one Spear.

Gunther doesn't usually get cheered to be fair. People might just not be that into Goldberg in certain areas. I assume he'll be safe at SNME though.

And the Cena stuff has mostly been him getting booed because he's been a chicken shit heel. The promo was always going to get a pop. Crowds love that shit.

It’s exactly what I expected. Goldberg vs. Gunther feels like a massive prize fight. Won’t last long. No idea who’ll win. Can’t wait to see it. Even if Goldberg knocks himself out against the post seven seconds in, there’s no-one I’d trust more to gloat like a bullying dickhead and make it work than Big G.

Quality promos from both Gunther and Goldberg on this show. It remains wild that WALTER and Will Ospreay became two of the best North American promos in the game.

I’d fucking love it if Seth comes down to watch licking his lips briefcase in hand then Goldberg goes to hit the spear from the off and Gunther just side steps him in to the ring post then power bombs him three times before sending him to sleep.

Thought the tag title match was decent enough but always highlights their lack of depth in the division and how it just gets forgotten regularly. I'm sure some people on here will be thrilled at Finn being a champ again!

Rhea/Iyo should be a strong match at Evolution. Curious to see who will be the other teams in the tag title match and if we get any nice surprises in the battle royal.

Poor Gable being injured but so glad El Grande Americano is okay.

The Bayley/Lyra stuff is odd. No one is getting over coming out of that. I thought Lyra was doing alright feuding with Becky but this stuff with Bayley isn't doing her any favours.

We need more of LA Knight keeping Punk and Seth apart.

I saw earlier in the week they're doing War Games again. Would they waste it on the Bloodline stuff or is it more likely we get Rollins and Co vs some super friends? Punk/Jey/Sami/Penta/Roman?

I felt it could go a bit SmackDown vs Raw based off Aldis and Pearce's interaction about being on the same page for now.

Maybe Seth, Bronn, Bronson, Gunther and throw in a curve ball there like Punk or Sami having to be on the same page vs Cena, Cody, Orton, LA Knight and Reigns.

You've got one customary Face/Heel having to coexist, maybe in Punks case if Raw wins he gets a chance at Gunther, but then the variables like Seth and the briefcase maybe turning on his team after the match or trying to cash in on Cena after, Cody or Orton turning on each other, there's still some storylines there that can follow up in the coming months.

Cena seems like the type of guy who's trying to do everything in his last run. Rumbles, Elimination Chamber, let him have a War Games where in character he doesn't want to take part but he's SmackDowns leader and also its a chance to mess with Seth again. Add in his paranoia about most his team hating him too.
