This might have been the craziest one ever. Literally in the same breath, Michael Cole was selling how Dragon Lee was disgusted with El Grade Americano disrespecting Lucha Libre, then encouraging the audience to get a glimpse into the WWE’s writers room in the upcoming documentary series, WWE Unreal, debuting on Netflix next week. It’s bonkers. The equivalent of watching a Summer Blockbuster and within the film itself a character turns to the camera and remarks, “amazing CGI, isn’t it?” The strangest part about it for me was that they chose to advertise it with clips that we’d seen, of the fictional world rather than the ‘real’ one. It was very odd. Edited July 22, 2025 by RedTwoster Quote

I fully agree, but (without having seen Raw) at this stage, wrestlers should have learned to adapt their delivery So they don't Leave big pauses Every few words To give the fans the opportunity To yell "what" When they're doing promos. Agreed, but sometimes pauses are necessary. If you are yelling "What!?" when a wrestler finishes a sentence or is waiting for another wrestler to respond you are just the worst kind of person and probably smell. Quote

How ? can ? it ? be ? undisputed ? when ? there ? are ? two ? titles ? Does it not stem from when Kevin Owens was carrying around the Winged Eagle belt and claiming himself to the the true WWE Champion? I think the way they justify it is that they're saying the 'WWE Championship' belt is now undisputed after the Owens palaver. Rather than the champion of all WWE - including the WWE World Title - is undisputed. If they're going to have two top belts, calling one the WWE Championship and one the WWE World Championship is a stupid idea. They need more separation. Quote

Probably, although they've not been sure forever about it. Samantha was using "undisputed" in her introduction of Roman at Mania 41 even if the graphic didn't mention it. There should be no use of it after the introduction of Seth's Silver Medal but... here we are. Probably the company's endless hard on for Reigns meant they wanted to keep calling him "undisputed" since the previous unification even though there was now a belt for Raw too which he wasn't on. 17 minutes ago, The King of Old School said: The solution to this, as always, is don't have two "World Champions" in the same company, it's beyond stupid and always has been. It was very logical when the two rosters ran two sets of house shows and the champion was on TV every week, so you could go to either show's live event and not feel short changed if the champion was with the other crew and you could keep an active storyline bubbling for the belt on both shows. These days you're lucky if either shows champion shows his face on any given single week of telly so I agree, they might as well only have one. Especially when most PLEs don't get both titles contested and some even have neither. It's absurd. Quote

Yeah I remember that as the logic when it first happened in 2002, I suppose I do kind of get it, but the roster was that stacked back then that you could have a marquee match headlining a house show without the champion being involved. It's just something I have never liked. Quote

I get it, and I understand it given how ingrained an undisputed (whoops) “top guy” was in all our formative years. I have a mate who’s a lapsed casual that got into it during Hulkamania like me, and to this day he asks “Who’s the champion these days?” and even though he’s known every time there have been two champions for the two shows… he only ever cares about who’s currently holding “Hogan’s belt.” THE champion. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted July 22, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 22, 2025 Crazy to think that McMahon *spits* did such a great job of reestablishing one champion and the genius booker who replaced the crazy old bastard has pissed it away. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 22, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 22, 2025 (edited) The, “Undisputed,” thing wasn’t introduced during the Kevin/Cody feud with the introduction of the Winged Eagle. It’s been called the, “Undisputed,” Title ever since they dropped the, “Universal,” name once Cody beat Roman at Wrestlemania 40. A stupid name at the best of times, but positively ridiculous since they introduced the Raw belt, creating two World titles. It’s been literally disputed. What the fuck do I know though. Maybe Triple H is playing 4D Chess and I’m too stupid to understand his genius. It would explain why only four weeks ago CM Punk was telling John Cena that winning the belt John holds wasn’t one of his goals in returning to WWE, yet on last night’s show he said his list of goals when he returned was, “Main Event Wrestlemania and become WWE Heavyweight Champion.” I don’t know what to believe. Maybe it’s a tightly written storyline and the character of CM Punk has always only had his eyes on the Silver Medal Title. Or maybe it’s a complete mess and Punk’s character was completely undermined and assassinated during the Blood Money Humiliation Tour. Hopefully the very real glimpse into reality that is, “WWE Unreal,” will finally give us the undisputed truth on such matters. EDIT: To save this being too moany, I did remember some highlights on this show; The Stone Cole Steve Austin pop Rhea Ripley got was ridiculous. That she’s still this over when they’ve dicked her character around so badly is truly impressive. Rhea Ripley vs. Stephanie Vaquer should already be pencilled in as one of next year’s Wrestlemania main events. Yet another week where AJ Styles stole the show with silly comedy. Keep all those mad Ultimate X bumps. Take back that first year in WWE when he was the Workrate King. Him pissing about in fancy dress, winding up Dirty Dom, is genuinely the best stuff of his career.
