Paid Members mim731 Posted February 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 18, 2025 They are also name dropping him weekly, which isn't exactly going to dispel the idea he might come back. It's not exactly a stretch to say they're hedging their bets in case he can come back. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 18, 2025 (edited) Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross and Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton? Fucking hell. As we Forge Our Way down the Road to Wrestlemania, and The Showcase of the Immortals becomes clearer on the Horizon of Dreams? It’s looking more and more shit, isn’t it? A far cry from The Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment. Tell me if I’m being a knobhead. I’m well aware that as a wrestling fan it’s very easy to become one of those idiots who fantasy books something, and then sulks when it doesn’t happen exactly like you imagined in your head. I believe it’s the law that when you become one of them you have to start posting exclusively on Twitter. But here, this isn’t stuff I’ve imagined out of thin air. It’s all stuff they’ve built on the show itself, made me excited for, then in almost every case taken in the crappest direction possible. Karrion Kross is funny in a backstage Raw segment. Fucked if I ever want to see that useless lump in a singles match at Wrestlemania, though. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens will be good. But it’s the most wrestle-Kane-after-Wrestlemania feud for Kevin. The feud you do after the big match. The big match is Sami. Not Randy. Same goes for the main event scene. I’d be bang up for almost any combination of Punk, Roman, Cody, Cena, even Seth, in singles matches. I don’t know why they have to be jumbled up to include a Triple Threat Double Trouble Crap on a Stick Compromise Match. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Maybe they’ll pull it out of the bag. Right now though, it’s feeling more and more like one of those messy, scatter-brained Mania builds of old, with a mostly underwhelming card that doesn’t satisfyingly pay off the year that built towards it. Probably The Rock’s fault, somehow. Edited February 18, 2025 by Supremo Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 It's stunning they are putting a unrivaled match for mania and wasting it at elimination chamber which doesn't need a violent/crazy match with both chambers. It's mental they've ruined a fantastic match that could easily steal the show tbh. Also penta really hasn't made a big splash whatsoever which really sucks because he is one of the best luchadors around right now but he's not shown much lucha libre to blow everyone away I really hope he turns it round. Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 18, 2025 The odd thing about Penta is that there's a simple stereotype of the masked luchador in WWE that he just doesn't fit, because he's a rudo, and meant to be a heel. It's virtually setting people up for disappointment, as he won't be dishing out all the spectacular high-flying fireworks. Quote

I think they have made Penta look like a big deal so far in terms of presentation. However, his style is toned down to fit the WWE model. Giulia is in a similar boat. She is not the wrestler we saw in Japan, and I don't think we will see it when she moves up to the main roster. But Penta is not going to go full lucha unless WWE commit to focusing on more lucha wrestling. Quote

I'm still hoping they will add Ridge Holland as muscle to add to the heat there getting. Quote

Thing is, they have set up so many possibilities they have enough name matches to see them through until at least Summerslam. They dont need to spaff them all on WrestleMania. Quote

They're currently slapping themselves against the bedside cabinet trying to get some blood to it after months of teasing us with the best night of our lives. @Supremo is right. If it goes the way it looks like it's going, it's proper shit in comparison to the million other routes they could have gone. Edited February 18, 2025 by d-d-d-dAz Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 18, 2025 (edited) Kevin and Sami open Elimination Chamber. Wild, arena-wide brawl that spills into the parking lot. The cameras lose them when Kevin drives off into the night, with Sami chasing him in his car. We move on to the next match. Throughout the show, they cut back to mad, bonkers scrapping throughout the streets of Toronto. It is concluded afterwards that the only way to settle this is Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania. Elimination Chamber sees Logan Paul eliminate John Cena first, with brass knuckles. Finish comes when Roman climbs up from under the grate, chins Seth and gives Punk the win. Punk and Roman exchange a nod of respect. Favour cashed in. Jey Uso vs. Gunther Night 1 Main Event CM Punk vs. Cody Night 2 Main Event Seth vs. Roman Semi Main Night 1 Sami vs. Owens Hell in a Cell Semi Main Night 2 Logan Paul vs. John Cena Karrion Kross exclusively appears in a two minute backstage skit where he kicks The Miz up the arse. This is my Clear Path to Wrestlemania. Edited February 18, 2025 by Supremo Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted February 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 18, 2025 A match with Roman, referencing all the Shield history and lore, is pretty much the only thing involving Seth that excites me. Whenever they've played with that stuff in the past, it's been great. Seth would work infinitely better as a heel, too. The annoying prick. I've seen people suggesting Aleister Black as the new member of Judgment Day. Talk about a regression! The very reason the Judgment Day succeeded was because they dropped the spooky bollocks and became the Clubhouse of Banter. Wry, silly nonsense, like Carlito asking Raquel for her credit card so he can buy the WWE2K DLC. Imagine Black stinking all that up. Literally can't imagine the berk ever making fun of himself or having a laugh. "What is a credit card Carlito, if not the future payment of the soul?" Quote
Mr_Danger Posted February 18, 2025 Posted February 18, 2025 I like Karrion Kross as the new Judgement Day guy. Gets to keep his leather jacket and he has some pretty entertaining goons for his backstage stuff. Probably needs to lose his lady though or the stable will threaten to not be a sausage fest and you can’t have too many broads in the clubhouse. Quote

If they do add a new member, they could do with someone who essentially does in Judgment Day what MJF did with The Inner Circle; with Finn Balor filling the Sammy Guevara role. I’m not sure who could do that well (perhaps Miro/Rusev could?) - but it’s something that could work with the wrestlers involved in that group. EDIT: Scrap what I said about Miro, Karrion Kross is a tremendous shout! Edited February 18, 2025 by RedTwoster Quote
