What's your interest rate now and going up to? (If you don't mind me asking) Our fix is up for renewal in 12 months and expect it to go up a bit. Making me fear my renewal, I got 4.6% (I think) about 2 years ago for 5 years. I have worked out I'll have paid my student loan off in 2 years, an extra £179 a month and hoping that should cover most of any increase. Quote

The best quote has it going up £400 a month. I feel your pain. We lost that sweet sweet 2.23% from when we first bought, and approx. 4,5% was the best they could offer when we last renewed. It didn't add on as much as yours, but Christ it was enough to sting. We're in a cycle of fixing every two years in the hope that rates may drop, but we're kidding ourselves really. We were very very lucky and had fixed for 5 years on 1.1%. I've overpaid a little bit too as the rate was so low. The best rate we have been offered now for a 2 year fix is 4.83%. We initially got a quote on Friday at 4.63% but that was pulled this morning before we could apply and the mortgage broker said the 4.83% is looking to be pulled this afternoon as everyone is putting their rates up. Hoping we've managed to secure the 4.83% as I'm not sure how much more we can stretch to. Edited September 7 by deathrey Quote

Found the whole thing rather 'meh' Thing is, that preview vignette for the first series made everyone pull their collar a bit, but it actually ended up being pretty alright and much better than a lot of people expected. Obviously a second series is a big test, but I reckon it'll find a groove. I didn't think the SNL would work in the UK and was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Weekend Update is still fucking well ropey though, but I do have to remember how close to transmission things get added, chopped and changed. Edit: additional, just noticed Limmy there. Weekend Update seems to be alright when it's not over saturated with characters as Ania and Paddy seem to work well together, but the stand out will continue to be Fouracres. The man's just got this quirk of absolute chaos about him. Quote
