Man looks a hundred foot tall during his entrance. You’ve got a white hot hand in an otherwise lukewarm territory. Push him to the moon. I'm not sure you can describe Oba as the white hot hand. Wait until the video comes out of HHH's white hot hands showing Oba how to do his strut to the ring. Quote
Paid Members Callum1993 Posted June 27 Paid Members Posted June 27 Given how over Oba is I fully expect this company to have Lesnar cost him at Night of Champions to set up the decider at Summerslam. Then we can get more Bloodline Shenanigans with either Jey/Cody or Jey/Roman. Quote

Obviously good news for us Ride or Die fans, but still wild to think how hot he once was and how monumental him winning the title once felt. Here, he’ll probably steal the win by pinning Gunther, met with Saudi silence, all just to justify Cody winning it back at Summerslam. Surely based on previous outings over there Sami is the only person they won't be silent for? Always seemed massively over in Saudi. Quote

It think it’s time to call it. Yeah, The Miz and Kit Wilson doing their "possessed" act is just embarrassing. WWE was always going to ruin it. Subtlety and nuance has never been their strong point. His match with the Miz was fantastic comedy wrestling. If you're tired of Danhausen, you're tired of life. Quote

Doesn't stop the current shenanigans with The Miz being cringe as fuck. Never personally been much of a fan of "comedy wrestling". Slow-mo spots, invisible hand grenades, Orange Cassidy and all that bollocks can fuck right off in my opinion. Same with "possessed" Miz. It's just lame. Quote

BarryOVega Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) People were saying Danhausen was fucked minutes after his debut so given he shifts loads of t shirts I wouldn’t pay attention to anyone saying that old shite Edited June 28 by BarryOVega Quote
METAL ON METAL Posted June 28 Posted June 28 All of the Danhausen stuff was massively over at the actual Smackdown taping, people were enjoying it in person. Tons of his merch being worn by adults and children alike. Also, it wasn’t them being ‘possessed’ was it? Pretty sure they got ‘electrocuted’. It’s a bunch of blokes doing pantomime in tights, it’s not that deep. Quote
The King of Old School Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Fair play to anyone who thinks Danhausen is funny. About as funny as tooth ache. Quote

Grown adults who are entertained by Orange Cassidy are like babies who laugh every time they see their own feet. Quote

thatvinylgeek Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Apologies if I am breaking rules as I posted pretty much the same post in NoC thread on Danhausen. I can see both sides of the argument here, and I am very open minded when it comes to my glorified man dancing likes and dislikes, it is all very subjective. I still think that there are some very big problems (in my opinion) with the way they currently presenting him. At this point they are very close to ruining everything I enjoyed about the character (not that that matters one jot), however before he came to the WWE, I was genuinely enjoying his stuff on the indies, socials and his short stint in AEW. I think a lot of it was aimed at the grumpy old man fan (see his interactions with Regal), as opposed to the "catch all" presentation they are trying to do now. I found his charm before being that he couldn't actually do anything "magical" to anyone, but he was so confident that people start to second guess themselves and then they fall apart for their own mistakes, rather than him actually cursing people. I understand they want to milk the new cash cow, and fair play to the guy for making as much money as he can as quick as possible to support his family, but this mad professor version is def not for me..the Miz and Kit Wilson stuff is now so awful even my kids are going off him. His act with Miz was working well when he first came in, but it seems WWE didn't understand that it was because he had a straight man to play off against. Shark well and truly jumped. That being said, if Regal appears next week and gets cursed, all will be forgiven. Quote
Chili Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) Danhausen has the Bray Wyatt issue. It's about convincing himself and others they have something. Show them actually able to do something and it loses the mystique and the charm. Even though wrestling is silly bollocks, even for characters like Danhausen, you need to still respect the logic and orbit of the character. Danhausen who causes people to fuck up based on him saying a daft catchphrase and giving the opponent that sliver of doubt. Perfect. Danhausen able to embody Paul McKenna and legitimately hypnotize people into a vegetative state? Fuck off, you're ruining it. Edited June 28 by Chili Quote
