Merzbow Posted February 14, 2025 Posted February 14, 2025 Ha, to be fair tag team wrestling has seemingly hit a low point in either company so I'm not surprised they won by default. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted February 14, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 14, 2025 Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay getting nominated for "Europe MVP" when Zack worked all of 4 matches in Europe last year, and Ospreay worked 2. Similarly, Vikingo getting up there for Mexico MVP when he spent most of the year out injured. Quote
Mr Butternut Squash Posted February 14, 2025 Posted February 14, 2025 The Japanese scene is so poor now that a British bloke wins it and washed up Naito is runner up?! Quote

Under appreciated in his life time, passing the torch as his final act. Praise be unto him. He's going to come back for an 8* match, isn't he? Quote
The King Of Swing Posted February 14, 2025 Posted February 14, 2025 From what I've saw of Sareee, she had a belter of year. Good to see her get some recognition. No idea what her shows are like, though. Quote
Snitsky's back acne Posted February 14, 2025 Posted February 14, 2025 Michael oku? Seriously? Michael Oku as Europe MVP? Maybe I've not seen his best stuff but I don't get it. Skinny, no charisma, does floppy shit but so does everyone these days.... Don't get it. Also, best weekly show AEW Dynamite?! Really? Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted February 14, 2025 Posted February 14, 2025 How have NXT come second in worst show of the year, ahead of NWA Powerrr? And the Bucks getting tag team of the year over Fraser and Axiom is bizarre as well Quote
Merzbow Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 Takeshita as most underrated makes no sense either, he's had a great year and most rated him as the MVP of the G1 Climax. Quote
Browser Brady Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Anybody noticed that Dave and Bryan Alvarez are sniping at each other a lot lately? They went like 24 years of doing audio together with barely an argument but in the last year it seems like they are somewhat sick of each other and talk over each other a lot. Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted September 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 5, 2025 I haven't listened in about 5 years probably, but it felt like they were constantly bickering then. Meltzer often seemed to pick the opposite view to Alvarez on anything just for a laugh. Quote

I saw a video of them yesterday discussing the AEW/WWE PPV maneuverings and I swear Dave looked like he wanted to smack the smarmy cunt. Proper "does Dave know he's on camera here?" vibe, but that could just be Dave being Dave. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted September 5, 2025 Members Posted September 5, 2025 Maybe they've hit their "Gregg and Tim" years? #GreggHead Quote

Yesterday's episode was a chore. Dave wouldn't let Bryan finish a sentence - but way worse than usual. Bryan: "Can I just say that..." Dave: "I know what you're going to say and you're wrong because..." Bryan: "No...no, Dave.... no... that's not it. Can I finish?" Dave: "Sure" Bryan: "What I mean is that we don't know how much..." Dave: "We do, though..." Repeat for 25 minutes. Edited September 5, 2025 by herbie747 Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted September 6, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 6, 2025 I typically want to throttle Alavarez before he gets to the end of most sentences, so I have to empathise with Dave on that one. Quote
