It’s the second time he’s done something like that - Kenny McIntosh of Inside the Ropes tweeted a graphic a few years ago from the intermission of a WWE live show reading ‘WWE Intermission, joking that WWE had announced their first UK PPV since 1992, ‘WWE Intermission’.

And Meltzer reported it. And just as with this fake report, I’m relatively sure he didn’t credit the original source, which I find just as objectionable as the error.

Whilst ratings chat is boring as fuck, looking out for Meltzers weekly ratings tweets are always a highlight. I'd like to think it's a bit he's doing, but knowing Dave, he's deadly serious.

Dave doesn't understand/care how different his audience is across the media channels. The people that challenge him on this he'll say "I've been talking about this over and over again!" Yes Dave, but plenty of people didn't see it. In that tweet, he doesn't feel like he needs to mention that NXT is on the wrong night because he's said so over and over again. 

Also, when he first started engagement farming on Twitter he repeatedly pointed out that Twitter arguments have led to increased subscriber numbers (I'm sure that's simplistic, but he's said it), so I think he knows exactly what he's doing, at least at one level

I do think he's very much about that old school view of any publicity being good publicity. As long as people are talking about him and he's out there, that's pretty much all he needs.
