Paid Members Cod Eye Posted March 2, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 2, 2017 Serves the video shop right for not taking the tab out! Â I always thought the tab just stopped a tape being taped over?
kostan
Cost of manufacture was big back then. Distribution smaller too so bigger costs per run. Â It was even bigger for longer tapes hence some WWF PPVs being released edited down to two hours. Â Was this the reason Harley Race vs King Haku ("battle of the Kings") was cut from the video/ dvd release of Royal Rumble 1989? I always wondered why they cut his match... Briefcase
Isn't it a similar deal with Video Games?  Games nowadays are actually cheaper then they were 25+ years ago  I remember when N64 games were like £60.

WyattSheepMask
Race v Haku did get released in the Royal Rumble Anthology, presumably they used a different version of the event than what was released the first time

Moderators PowerButchi Posted March 2, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted March 2, 2017 (edited) Cartridges cost more than discs, which explains that. Â Discs cost like 2p, hence the joy when you got chipped. Edited March 2, 2017 by PowerButchi

There's a Christmas that must have cost my Gran a fortune. I've bought consoles for less than the price of those games.
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted March 3, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Listening to review podcasts recently and it's interesting how a fan who didn't grow up with a character like Elizabeth and watching it back retrospectively, dislikes the performer and any use of her, because of her obvious performance anxiety, when that's actually the selling character trait. God I love the Liz/Randy arc. Edited March 3, 2017 by WWFChilli
