Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 Enzo has charisma pouring out of his ears, he's the wittiest and most creative talker they have had in a decade or more. He's actually genuinely funny, which is so rare for anybody on WWE programming these days. There's just no pleasing some people. I won't argue with that. He certainly knows how to work a crowd, I just don't get how they have him interacting with the other wrestlers etc the way he does and still be a babyface. It's a natural heel role he's playing. Guest
I enjoy enzo. Problem I had is that he is always up. As a small wrestler, as a face you sound be more humble. As a cocky small guy, with a big guy for back up it is more heelish

He's actually genuinely funny, which is so rare for anybody on WWE programming these days. There's just no pleasing some people. I found him embarrassing, not funny, as a casual viewer. I enjoyed 9/10ths of Raw too, so I think 'no pleasing some people' isn't really fair. I just think Enzo is dogshit. Him talking to Sheamus and Cesaro was the kind of segment where I would have switched to hardcore porn if someone had walked into the room because it would be less embarrassing. Daaaaaad!
The situations they've been putting Enzo into lately have made him look like a prick, to be fair. They've got him talking to other faces like a knob and then getting his big mate to back him up. He's become that arsehole kid from school who cheeked everyone off but had a solid big brother so you couldn't kick him in.
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 They couldn't book a babyface to save their lives at the moment. Â Enzo's ace. He's made himself distinguishable, he's charismatic, he's got great delivery and, unlike most people, he actually looks like a product of our time. Â Whether it's him or them, the material since that initial "naked" angle has been seriously weak. Not only have Enzo & Cass lost steam but it's fucking crippled Rusev. Â The whole "causing shit and turning to his big mate" thing isn't a coincidence though. It's their big man fetish. Enzo is an afterthought. Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) Rick is on the money once again. I can't say enough good things about Enzo, but the booking is clearly a problem because if viewers like Gus and Jazzy are watching the show and aren't able to enjoy one of the most naturally entertaining guys on the roster. It shows that WWE aren't doing their job properly. They seem to have a real knack of making their babyfaces unlikable, although usually it's by chopping their balls off. Enzo seems to be a bizarre reverse case of this it would seem. I still think he's awesome but I can see that the Scrappy Doo comedy act doesn't work for everyone. Paid Members Gus Mears Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 Actually yeah, Scrappy Doo is an almost perfect cultural description of what it felt like to me watching him for one of the first times.
Porkchopcash
He should have been booked as an obnoxious villian first then turned goodie.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 I used to join in with the whole shtick from the comfort of my couch every Tuesday morning because it's catchy, and he has got a great way with wordplay (I love me some terrible wordplay). Â He sells everything well and they've got a fantastic "Enzo takes the baby beats, Big Cass makes the save" dynamic going on, but the way they've booked him has been horrible. Paid Members Supremo Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 Enzo and Cas were so great in NXT that it honestly felt anti-climactic that they never won the tag titles before being brought up to the main roster. You really rooted for them to succeed. That's just not the case anymore, though. They've scripted Enzo terribly and he now comes across like a little dickhead who gets his big brother to save him all the time. When Anderson and Gallows make for better tag champions, you know something is wrong. Â So I've been thinking. Nakamura is debuting on the RAW after Wrestlemania, surely? If we assume Goldberg wins the title from Owens, and then Brock wins it at Wrestlemania, can you fucking imagine the pop Nakamura's music will get when he interrupts Paul Heyman's celebratory promo the next night on RAW? In front of that crowd? It'll go down as one of the best reactions ever.
Daaaaaad!
If they don't bring Nakamura in on the Raw after 'Mania they're definitely missing a trick.
d-d-d-dAz
He's probably coming in, but I doubt he'll be anywhere near the top guys. Â I'd bet my life they don't value what they have with him. Â He'll be working Rusev and Cesaro in some kind of 'LOL! Foreigners' angle.
boytoy
I would much rather see Nakamura on Smackdown but the pop would be insane on that Monday.
Zaheer
He's probably coming in, but I doubt he'll be anywhere near the top guys. Â Â Â Most of us said the same about Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Finn Balor....
DavidB6937
Generally they've been pretty good at pushing the guys that deserve it. Most of the ones that have failed were never destined for main event spots anyway. Not everyone from NXT is going to become a huge star. Â I have more faith these days that Nakamura would get treated properly on the main roster.
