Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted November 15, 2014 Awards Moderator Share Posted November 15, 2014 Good new is I bought myself an Actifry. Used it for chunky chips last night. Not bad, texture was a little rubbery for me. Just done a pile of fries sized chips and bingo. Crispy, tasted more fried than last nights efforts and were damn tasty. Looking forward to trying the other recipes, and roasting some nuts In there over the weekend. Here's a decent curry: Â http://bigspud.co.uk/chicken-tikka-gobi/ Â But this General Tso's chicken is fricking brilliant: Â http://bigspud.co.uk/general-tsos-actifry-chicken/
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted November 15, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 15, 2014 By sheer coincidence, I was googling Actifry recipies, found a couple of pages with "Big Spud" on them, tjought that rung a bell, and it dawned on me! So, do you use it much?

So, do you use it much? About once a month. There's a smartphone app available which is hard to use but gives you some good ideas. Risotto works surprisingly well. Keith Houchen
I got a Le Creuset skillet pan, needless to say everything gets cooked on it. It is magnificent! Got it for half price as well.
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted November 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2014 Le Creuset are the Rolls Royce of pans. Mine were wedding presents, and still going strong nearly 20 years later.

Paid Members Kookoocachu Posted December 1, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2014 I'm excited, but only because I have never experienced a McRib.
Brock Goldberg
Another McRib virgin here also. Interested in giving it a try. Looks good! Â When was it ever part of the menu over here? I don't recall ever seeing it.
Paid Members Au Posted December 1, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2014 It's definitely been a menu item over here, I have a fairly unhappy memory of being quite ill after eating one when I was 8. Â I worked at McDonalds for a couple of years whilst I was doing my A Levels and I'm certain it was in for a while then but I haven't eaten there since I left the job which is about 14 years ago. I figure it must have been back since then, though.
King Coconut
The McRib is rank. I strongly urge anyone who has never tried it to carry on not trying it.
Paid Members Kookoocachu Posted December 1, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2014 That just makes me want to try it more
Guy Bifkin
The McTesti would be a far better description for that foul blob of congealed fat and gristle.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2014 It's essentially the Rustler's rib sandwich.
