Your original post came across as you not being bothered about the law change because it didn't affect your viewing habits, so Lister's point is absolutely fair. You probably needed to expand your thoughts a little more for clarity.

Forgive my ignorance (and spelling and grammar as I'm on a phone) but doesn't this just effect items produced in the UK, sold through licensed shops or sold online from a Uk based retailer or streamed from a Uk based domain.

 

It would seem to make more sense to encourage the safe and licensed production of domestic works, which would surely boost the money going to the uk rather than out of it, and ensure that films meet a standard of safety which walks a line whilst still retaining a varied element if erotica which doesn't bind itself and can view each act on its merits and context where required.
