The main guy that did a long thread about it turned out to have slagged off Lee in a thread earlier in the year - had effectively said he was bullying Joe Pasquale, his whole 'persona' thing is a lie etc.

Same guy apparently has been slagging Lee off for years on Cookd and Bombd too.

We'll be in the pedal bin next year and I'll have to write a "Dear Stewart" response.

I like how there's no context to his list so people have just assumed everything based on him saying a name.

Are you saying he didn't watch and enjoy all those Marvel films as well?

Ricky Gervais in the pedal bin you love to see it

After Ricky gave him his big start by saying he was his favourite comedian. He’ll be crying in to his faux fur pillow case tonight.

I must say I was offended by his liking of Black Widow.

I feel he rated that and Shang Chi much higher then I would. Spot on with Guardians of the Galaxy. Excellence recognising Excellence.

Well anyone watching early Gervais stand up can see the 'influence'

One thing I find really funny for some reason about all of this is all the Graham Linehan apologists going “who? Never heard of this so-called ‘comedian’”.

The odd Tory on here has done exactly the same thing too, also very funny.

Outside of him having turned up on an interview somewhere, it's likely Lee name-searches somewhat on Twitter and came across the guy being an arse. Which I found kind of funny as well.

I went to see his current tour this evening and incidentally, he does bring up searching his own name in one bit.

Show was great, incidentally. Lovely to have my first comedy show back, and in fact first live performance of any kind in a couple years, be one of the best in the game.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it as I’m going in March, similarly haven’t been to any kind of show in years so really looking forward to it.

Went to see Snowflake/Tornado last night, really enjoyed it. I want a complete copy of Alan Bennett's Sharknado now though.
