Posting this in here instead of the superhero TV thread as some people may not bother with that thread..

Yeah, Daredevil is great. The first two episodes I was a bit meh about but after episode 3 I was all the way in. Recommended. And I'm not a bit fan of the superhero genre.

I'm 3 eps in myself and actually got hooked after the 1st, you can tell that the show has absolutely no budget but that probably helps in a way.

Orphan Black's just started its 3rd season in the US, brilliant little show that i caught by accident and the leading actress deserves much more recognition for the work she puts in to multiple characters. It feels like something Joss Whedon would have made if he was actually any good.

Has anyone ever watched this program Venus Vs Mars on Sky Living? I don't think it's exactly aimed at me (it's aimed at the young, black market, I guess) but even so, it is one of the worst acted, badly written piece of shit "comedy" TV shows I've ever seen in my life. It's like someone made it for their final project for their BTEC National Diploma in Media at college. It also really perpetuates some very negative stereotypes of young, black males as being just a bunch of dickhead cheaters who use women. It's pretty fucked that Black Twitter loves it so much.

Does anyone use Now TV? I just saw an advert for a 30 day free trial and it's only £9.99 a month after. Gonna give the free trial a whirl and see what it's like.

I do, think im paying £6.99 for the entertainment and £9.99 for the movies. If i was to get just the basic sky package without the movies it would cost about £5 more than that.

90% of the time it works great, get a few random buffering moment if its something big like the first showing of GoT ( and apparently watching live football can be a nightmare) but apart from that its fine

I bought it just for GoT and Mad Men. Works great so far, bar a tiny bit of buffering during episode 1 of Thrones over Chromecast. I'm now on a wired connection and it's buttery smooth.

Bear in mind the free trial is only for the movies package.

I have NowTV, a bit of advice for the subscriptions. Go to ebay! You can find like 3 month entertainment passes etc cheaper than it would be through the nowtv subscription. I mainly buy the sky sports passes, can get em for around £3-£4, pretty handy if theres the odd thing you wanna watch.

Second that. Have bought Sky Sports passes regularly, and you can get codes instantly in most cases.

How do the sellers get their hands on the codes in the first place?

I imagine if I get one I'll get cut off in a week and bummed with s fine or something.

I was going to put this in the Ched Evans thread, but here is a better place.

The third season of Inside Amy Schumer is starting back up, with it comes an absolutely brilliant sketch. For anyone who loved Friday Night Lights (and that surely is everyone?!) it's a beautiful parody about the teen rape culture.

I know it's sacrilege to compare her show to the masterful Chappelle Show, though it's an apt comparison I think. She is doing what Chappelle did back with his show, going after societies problems in a brilliant comedic way.

I highly recommend anyone who hasn't checked her stuff out to do so, I think she is a genius at comedy.

Also, I've been re-watching some Prison Breaks recently, the first few episodes are really great at setting up the show. I bloody loved the first two seasons of that show (and hated the final 2 just as much!), however watching it back, maaan a lot of it looks stupid. Mainly the actual escape parts, it's also aged terribly considering it's only 10 years old. still great fun though. I defy anyone to watch the first episode and not then want to watch the next one.
