  1. @JNLister

    Ah, thanks for the data. I knew it was used for a promo in mid to late 1995 but no idea which one. As far as I know, McGillicutty never used said song as an entrance song. She only used Raven's theme done by The Offspring.

    @air_raid

    Oh, I have records for "Sugar", which was used by Satu Jinn (IWA Mid-South, JCW (Michigan), ICW No Holds Barred, IWA Deep South, Unsanctioned Pro, No Man's Land); Jon Moxley (CHIKARA); Chad Collyer (MLW); Gaius (IWW)

    "Edgecrusher" by Fear Factory was used The Donny Bull (1PW), it was also used by Dokken Zeige as an intro for "Superstar" by Saliva in Alabama's League of Extraordinary Wrestlers (LXW).

    @Merzbow

    I don't have any records of that Tempa T song but I wouldn't be surprised if it was used.

  2. @RedRooster

    Thanks maestro, it's an honor to be nominated.

    @Arch Stanton

    Surprisingly, I have records of (as mentioned before) "Party Hard", "Ready to Die" and "I Get Wet" (only used so far by Aaron James in 1PW) but not "Take It Off".

    @air_raid

    - "Breed" by Nirvana
    Used by John Silver/Johnny Silver (JAPW, AAW, BCP); Everett Connors (IWA Mid-South); Necro Butcher (JCW (Michigan)); One Night Only (Anthony Gangone & Marq Quen) (ICW No Holds Barred); The Lone Rangers (John Silver & Pat Buck) (PWS).

    - "Aneurysm" by Nirvana
    Used by White Lotus (CZW). This was when he was initially known as Quicksilver before changing his name to "White Lotus" and using "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses as his entrance theme. He used the version off the EP "Hormoaning".

    I also heard Jon Moxley used it at Nevada's Future Stars of Wrestling in a match against Killer Kross. However, I don't keep tabs of FSW so that's the only thing I know.

    - "Scentless Apprentice" by Nirvana
    Used by Sonico (3-2-1 BATTLE!); Don Montoya (GCW); Arik Cannon (CHIKARA).

    - "Question!" by System of a Down
    No records of that song.

    - "The Fight Song" by Marilyn Manson
    Used by Jeff Brooks (IWA Mid-South); Shun The Kabuki Kid (CZW - used the Slipknot remix); Michael Kaus (wXw); Jimm Paine (ICW No Holds Barred).

    - "Any Way You Want It" by Journey
    Trik Davis actually used Rise Against's cover of Journey's "Any Way You Want It" in places like IWA Mid-South, CHIKARA, ROH and NWA No Limits. Juice Robinson used it as well in IWA Mid-South because back then, if you didn't have a permanent theme, the sound guy would use a theme from a wrestler that was no longer using that theme or wasn't competing for the promotion at that time.

    The Journey version was used by Johnny Game Changer/John Morrison (GCW, WrestleCircus); Lucky 13 (CZW, with "You Give Love a Bad Name" as an intro); Samantha Heights (SHIMMER, RISE)

    Archibald Peck used a marching band version of the song but I have no clue who made it. The same goes for the victory song he used once, which was a cover of "Don't Stop Believin'" in the same vein.

    Bea Priestley (aka WWE's Blair Davenport) used a version done by Constantine Maroulis, Julianne Hough & Mary J. Blige in PROGRESS.

    - "American Girl" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
    No records of that song.

    - "Take It Off" by The Donnas
    Used by Becky Bayless (IWA Mid-South); Heidi Lovelace (aka AEW's Ruby Soho/WWE's Ruby Riott) (Wrestling Is Intense).

    - "I Hate Myself For Loving You" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
    Used by Sam Adonis (Warrior Wrestling); Rip Byson (IWTV); The Pretty Sexy Playboys (Jordan Sparkes & Toby Valentine) (HKPW).

    @TheBurningRed

    "Wild Eyes" was used by Chip Day (CZW - normal version / IWA Mid-South - music video version); Project M.O.N.I.X. (IWA Mid-South, BLP, Warrior Wrestling - custom edited version with a piano version done by Bryce Russell added as an intro); Shane Hollister (IWA Mid-South, CZW); The Young Dragons (Dale Patricks & Josh Crane) (IWA Mid-South, NAP); Brandon Kirk (CZW, New Jersey's H2O); Conan Lycan (GCW, JCW (New Jersey)), Angelus Layne (WSU); Tyler Graves (IWA Deep South); The Exiled (No. 1 & Zero) (Nevada's PrideStyle Pro Wrestling); Matt Vandagriff (PCW ULTRA).

    @FLips

    Ah, OK. My watchability of 3 Count Wrestling was only 2017-2018. Basically their last two active years, hence why I may have missed this song (and a whole lot more of content). Thanks for the data anyways.

    @John Matrix

    "Indestructible" was used by Matt Tremont (IWA Mid-South); Joe Ettel (ICW No Holds Barred); Chuck Davis (EVOLVE); The Beastman (IWA East Coast); C&C Destruction (Chris Miller & Cody James) ("2022.03.05 - Next Level Soldiers Presents... NLS Is for Everyone!").

    Funnily enough, I have a record of Wardlow using an edited version of "Conflict" by Disturbed in Warrior Wrestling, so it wouldn't surprise me if he used "Indestructible".

    @Lenin

    "Dance Macabre" was used by The Mysterious Movado in JCW (Michigan).

    -----

    Hope to have filled in everything so far. If not, give me a shout.

  3. (Another long post incoming)

    @Chili

    Not Kofi Kingston but there was a wrestler called "The Buffalo Soldier" (aka Cameron Theodore) who used it at X Wrestling Alliance's "2018.06.16 - XWA 53: WrestleFriends Equal Fights! 2: Every Loser Wins".

    @Lorne Malvo

    I have no records of anyone using The Succession theme.

    @SuperBacon

    I have no records of anyone using that MSP song.

    @SaitoRyo

    Cheech Hernandez used "Murder Incorporated" in IWA Mid-South back in 2017. That's the only record I have of this song.

    @Lion_of_the_Midlands

    "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" was used by: Necro Butcher (IWA Mid-South); The Ring Crew Express (Dunn & Marcos) (CHIKARA); Super Nova (ECW live shows and JAPW); Portia Perez (PWS); Rachael Ellering (BLP, PCW ULTRA, Wrestlecon, California's Kitsune, Ric Flair's Last Match).

    @Sphinx

    I have no records of anyone using that Walter Murphy song.

    @The Gaffer

    I have no records of any of these three songs.

    @Tim Healys Chutney Spoon

    "Welcome for the Jungle" is one of the most overused songs in pro wrestling. Personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing it. It seems it's the law to use the song.

    It was used by Alister Fear (IWA Mid-South); B.J. Whitmer (IWA Mid-South); Jeremiah (IWA Mid-South, REVOLVER); Lexie Fyfe (IWA Mid-South); Shane Storm (IWA Mid-South, CZW, Wrestling Is Fun!, NWA No Limits); Vladimir Koloff (IWA Mid-South); Eric Tuttle (CZW); The Ram (CZW); The Metal Master (ROH); George South (GCW); Microman (GCW); Rick Bassman (GCW); The Beast Squad (KTB & Steve Mack) (GCW); Cincinnati's Most Wanted (Aaron Williams, Lexus Montez & Lord Crewe) (GCW); Big Van Walter (CHIKARA); (as already pointed out) Bam Bam Bigelow (ECW, JAPW, ICW No Holds Barred, 3PW); The Black Gorilla Army (Flash Wheeler, Ghetto Blaster & O-Dogg) (JAPW); El Hijo del Fantasma (AAA; AAW, WrestleCircus); Winnie The Pooh (Hoodslam); Quiet Storm (ICW No Holds Barred); Slash (JCW (Michigan)); TritĂłn (REVOLVER); Jay Bly (IWA East Coast - used a karaoke version); Portia Perez (IWA East Coast - used Richard Cheese cover); Viper (IWA East Coast); Zach Gowen (IWA East Coast); Cliff Compton (IWA Deep South, VOW); Jorge Castano (FWA (UK)); Rey Leon (PCW ULTRA, WrestleCircus); Aaron Williams (Unsanctioned Pro); Lord Crewe (Unsanctioned Pro); The Impeccables (Keita Murray & The Notorious KIT) (TRUE Wrestling); Jody Fleisch (IPW:UK); Jon Ian (PWG); Damien Stone (aka Little Guido) (ECW); Graham Mccormack (Ireland's HKPW); Kappa Jungle (Daikaiju Pro - edited version with Tarzan Call sound effect in the beginning); Austin Idol (Pennsylvania's TWA); Bully Ray (Ric Flair's Last Match); Greg Regalado (Cal-International Wrestling); Jim Steel (ECW); Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross (WWE) and as mentioned by @Just Some Guy, The Steiner Brothers.

    As for "Warriors of Time", I have never come across this one.

    @Snitsky's back acne

    As it was mentioned by @Bohan, it was Eddie Dennis' theme but also F.S.U.'s theme (Dennis' team with Mark Andrews). It was also used by Dan Lawrence (AAW and ROH); Jolly Roger (CHIKARA - used music video version); Matt Knicks (Freelance); Derek Direction (VOW); Charlie Sterling (RevPro); Brandon St. James (880 Wrestling); Soner Dursun (FutureShock Wrestling); Greg Burridge (XWA); Tommy Boyce (1PW).

    As @air_raid pointed out, "I Touch Myself" was used by Jack Sexsmith. It was also used by M.V. Young (GCW, Uncanny Attractions, New York's Battle Club Pro, Pro Wrestling VIBE, Enjoy Wrestling, Unsanctioned Pro, New York's Industrial World Wrestling - he previously used the Genitorturers cover); Becky Bayless (PWS, WSU); Kevin Matthews (WSU, ICW No Holds Barred); Tommy Suede (JAPW - he previously used the Genitorturers cover); Jeff Jameson (IWA Deep South); Matt Brannigan (BLP, Circle 6)

    @Loki

    Unfortunately, I never come across a Supergrass song when watching wrestling.

    @Keith Houchen

    I have records of that song, all of them being the Leonard Bernstein & The New York Philharmonic Orchestra version. It was used by Jeff King (IWA Mid-South, GCW, ICW No Holds Barred, Circle 6); Ox Haney (IWA Mid-South); Arthur McArthur (BLP).

    The funny story about King is that for years he always came out with no music to fit his old timer persona but apparently this changed (no idea when though).

    I also *think* The Original Sheik used this song when he toured Japan in the early 90s although no clue which version he used.

    @Statto

    I have no records of neither track.

    @Lenin

    I have no records of that specific Shinedown song.

    @Sergio Mendacious

    Sadly, I have no records of this Man 2 Man song.

    @Vamp

    I have records of some Madonna songs but not the one you mentioned.

    @Jazzy G

    "Army of Me" was used by Vipress (GCW, RISE, IWA Mid-South, Texas' MPW); Sage (5CC).

    "One Man Army" was used by Gary Hayward in FWA (UK). I'm pretty sure a former NOAH wrestler used it in the 2000s but I can't put my finger on who.

    @NeverYield

    As pointed out by @JNLister, it was used by Mysterio in ECW. However, it's also worth to point that before Mysterio, it was used by The Public Enemy in their debut match and after Mysterio, it became the essential enhancement talent theme for ECW untelevised shows. So, you don't have a song, don't worry, they'd give you "Sad but True".

    Going through my personal records, it was used by The Bull (wXw); Billy Black (IWA Mid-South, the first of two Billy Blacks that competed for the promotion); Dustan Moseley (IWA Mid-South); J-Rocc (IWA Mid-South); (John) Kronus (CZW); Mad Dog (ICW No Holds Barred).

    @Just Some Guy

    Unfortunately, I have no records of The Exploited.

    @LaGoosh

    Only record I have of this song being used was by K-Dos in IWA Mid-South.

    @Arch Stanton

    As pointed out by @air_raid, "Bulls on Parade" was used by The Havana Pitbulls, mostly Ricky Reyes after the team went on separate ways. In addition, it was also used by Adam Flash (IWA Mid-South, JAPW); The Solution (Havok & Papadon) (ROH, JAPW, GCW, ICW No Holds Barred, WORLD-1), Quiet Storm (CZW, ICW No Holds Barred); Ric Blade (CZW); Mike Hartenbower (Freelance Wrestling); Chase Holliday & Shawn Kemp (used the Denzel Curry version in Indiana's Naptown All Pro); Jeremy Wyatt (IWTV's "2019.05.26 - The Midwest Mixtape"); Terrell Kenneth (Unsanctioned Pro); NIWA (PROGRESS); J.C. Bailey (IWA East Coast); Hack Meyers (3PW); Elia Markopoulos (WHAT); Sean Carr (TRUE Wrestling); CaolĂĄn McCarthy & Matt Davies (Blank Canvas Wrestling).

    @RedRooster

    "Shake It Off" was Trevor Lee (aka WWE's Cameron Grimes)'s indie theme. He used it in places like CZW, AAW, REVOLVER, ICW No Holds Barred, Fight Club: Pro and RevPro. It was also used by Rated X (Jeremy Snaker & John The Psycho) (IWA Deep South); If Looks Could Kill (Brian Nelson & Greg Glover) (Freelance Wrestling); Sugar Dunkerton (Riptide - also in OTT once when he teamed with Session Moth Martina).

    @simonworden

    I have no records of any Soilwork track.

    @IronSheik

    No records of that song sadly.

    @Fatty Facesitter

    I have no records of any of these songs.

    No records of this song in my website.

    @air_raid

    "Bombtrack" was used by Mikey Whipwreck (ECW); Jimmy Yang (MLW) and GNC (Alex Colon & Joe Gacy) (CZW).

    @Chest Rockwell

    No records of any Sean Price song in my site.

    @Hannibal Scorch

    I have record of a Bloc Party song ("Helicopter") but not the one you linked. No Strokes' song recorded in my site.
    "Deceptacon" was used by Ziggy Haim (GCW, Enjoy Wrestling and Uncanny Attractions) and Ivy Quinn (Bar Wrestling).

    -----

    I hope to have filled in as much as I could and hope not to have forgotten about one song or more.

  4. (Long post incoming)

    I never liked these threads as people might say "this should be good for an entrance theme" and then I came out like a partypooper saying "I know someone that used/uses it" haha.

    @Hernan Thanks for this database and without checking it all, I feel you might know the answer to this question...

    I'm convinced "Celebrity Skin" by Hole has been used as a theme but I cant remember by who. Do you recall?

    Gracias.

    It was used by:

    • Cindy Rogers (CHIKARA, WSU)
    • Rain (ROH, IWA Mid-South, NWA No Limits, RISE, CZW)
    • Cherrill (only record I have of this wrestler using that song is at WrestleQueerdom)
    • Blonde Force Trauma (Heather Monroe & Ray Lyn) (so far I only have record in Mission Pro Wrestling out of Texas, USA)
    • Ziggy Haim (I only have record of her using that song recently in Enjoy Wrestling based in Pennsylvania, USA).

    Hope this helps.

    Hello

    I'm Chris. Just thought I'd say hello. Registered on here a few months ago but this is my first post.

    I'm an aew fan. Watch wwe sometimes but prefer aew. Not really into all the tribalism stuff. Just like what you like.

    Bienvenido Chris.

  7. So, I have mentioned a couple of days back that I keep an pro wrestling entrance music database.

    Basically, what I do is simple. I watch the shows, list all of the entrance songs used per show and compile them into one huge list. I mostly do AEW and indies around the world (sans Japan).

    This is the link to the database (and here's the old backup). I'm still re-building it as of August 2021 since I couldn't migrate the old Google Sites to the new version, so I moved operations to WordPress. As of writing, I'm ocassionally adding events that I have in the backup to the new website. Additionally, I add wrestling discography releases to WrestlingMedia.ws.

    I normally post updates/additions of my website on Twitter and Threads at @thewemdb - outside of music, I usually share music videos and/or art/graphics.

    I apologise beforehand if there's any mistake. Hope everyone enjoys this project as much as I do. ✌

    Feels very much like Eddie asked for a DMX song but they just decided to make him one instead.

    According to Rukus, he said the song is basically "DMX meets Castlevania".

    ----

    Kinda related to this but I do keep up a entrance themes database where I keep track of what entrance themes wrestlers use per show before compiling them into one huge list. I mostly do indies and AEW. If anyone's interested, I can post it here or in the plug section from the forum.

    Others on here will be far more familiar, but I did some little bits of digging, some of which will likely be what you already found.

    Wrestlingdata.com has MEGA running 10 events between 1988 and 1998, though that will be an incomplete list, and includes apparent cross-promotions with All-Star. Every show they have results for is from Bath, so it's safe to assume that's where they were based.

    I also had a look on the British Newspaper Archive, which again has a few shows listed for Bath, starting with "Mad Eli's Charity Bash" in 1988, and the latest being a MEGA-branded show in 1998. There's also a Gloucestershire Echo article from 1998 which refers to Eli as a "Bath-based promoter".

    Earlier than that, in 1987, Eli was advertising a combined coach trip/wrestling ticket from Bristol, though whether he was promoting the show or just the travel is unclear.

    That works for me. Thanks for investigating about the promotion, I appreciate the info.

  10. Hello everyone,

    First of all, happy new year. I apologise if I post this in the wrong place. No idea if I should start a whole new thread or put the question here:

    I know this is a very long shot but does anyone happen to have any information about the defunct promotion "Mad Eli's Grappling Assocation" (MEGA), which was run by wrestling fan Mad Eli (Eli Collins)?

    Aside of who was the founder/owner, I mainly would like to know between which years was the promotion active and where the promotion was mostly based. I tried looking on Google but aside of two shows posted on YouTube and Mad Eli's stories online, I couldn't find much information about his promotion and I don't know of someone that may have a clue of British 90s wrestling, so this is my last resort.

    Best regards.

  11. The best two out of three falls matches are suitable for Mexican promotions like CMLL but I don't see it for WWE.

    I would have gone with european rounds rather than best two out of three falls matches. Why? Because there's a little break in european rounds matches while the best of two out of three falls does not. However, I do not believe european rounds can't be a good thing for a company in American soil.

    Personally, I wouldn't care for commercial breaks during live airing but show the whole match (with parts removed from the live airing) on the Network. Nothing special though.

    Just looking on Cagematch and saw Jack Xavier listed as still wrestling as of last year in Puerto Rico. This can't be the same former All England Champion can it?

    I didn't know my account has been activated until now. Anyways, I know it's a little bloody late but I can tell you the Jack Xavier that wrestled in Puerto Rico is definitely not the same one that used to wrestle in Europe, mainly for FWA.

    Here's a link for the Puerto Rican one - https://www.facebook.com/BlackMoneyCWA/?ref=page_internal

    I work for Cagematch. I'll let know the guy that usually adds the Puerto Rican events about it. Appreciate the headups.
