Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 29, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 29, 2014 JJ Abrams directing you say? Yeah, fuck that. Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted April 29, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 29, 2014 JJ Abrams directing you say? Yeah, fuck that. Even if I liked him which I don't particularly, no man should be in control of Star both Wars and Trek, that's just a monopoly. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 29, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 29, 2014 I'm not bothered about Star Trek really, I was only interested in The Next Generation and Deep Space 9. But the return of Star Wars did interest me until I found out Steven Spielberg B was directing it. Quote
Paid Members chokeout Posted April 29, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 29, 2014 from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kasdan is doing the screenplay .........nobody mention Dreamcatcher. Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted April 29, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 29, 2014 .........nobody mention Dreamcatcher. Sorry to disobey that already but although Dreamcatcher isn't great it's probably the most faithful film to the source material I've ever seen so he can't be held fully responsible. Quote
Paid Members John Matrix Posted April 30, 2014 Paid Members Posted April 30, 2014 On this occassion, i can safely say it's not so good to talk. Only the other night i was watching him play a wonderful prick in Unleashed, he was brilliant in that. Quote
Loki Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) I'm not bothered about Star Trek really, I was only interested in The Next Generation and Deep Space 9. But the return of Star Wars did interest me until I found out Steven Spielberg B was directing it. The first Star Trek reboot was excellent I thought. He's not as good as he thinks he is, but he's capable of good work, and he's significantly better than Lucas. Edit: sad about Hoskins, one of the best character actors coming out of this country. ultimo the great Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Mona Lisa (my personal favourite), The Long Good Friday, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, TwentyFourSeven and he's such a great creepy bastard in Felicia's Journey. He was also in some dreadful shit but you always remembered him. The only good thing about the news is he won't have to suffer through Parkinson's disease anymore. For a long time he was British cinema. RIP Quote

And from what I've seen, he never will. Quote
