Wrestlers losing their fucking mind the moment anyone ever alludes to a family member always makes me laugh. It oftentimes doesn’t even require an insult. Just stating, “you have a mother,” or, “your wife exists,” is enough for them to completely fly off the handle. Thoughts and prayers to any doctors or nurses who have to ask wrestlers who their next of kin is. ”DON’T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY FUCKING FAMILY!” Unless your speaking to Christian....we're all Christian's kids ultimately Quote

But it’s completely deranged that they set up a Willow vs Maya women’s title match for Collision. Why? To what end? Mad and pointless. Being generous, as I often am to their booking, is the answer that they genuinely remember that Willow offered Maya the first shot and want to ensure their best babyface sticks to her word? I can get behind that. There are two easy ways out of it. Willow makes Maya look good and beats her. That's not an issue, Maya isn't a dominant champion, she's a great underdog and she can take a good showing and a loss. Alternatively, because they don't do it often, they could have Mercedes ruin a competitive contest causing a DQ or NC. That's less satisfactory but it'd put great heat on Mercedes and can give Maya something to call out either of them for after All In. I'd go with the latter, I think TK will do the former. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted August 21 Paid Members Posted August 21 Very good Dynamite as a whole that got me excited for most the big matches at All In. Loads of short, snappy promos really improved the show and made it feel less wrestling heavy than it often dies. Willow/Mercedes was easily the best segment. Incredible performances from both. Can't wait for this. Mercedes screaming "FUCK YOU WILLOW!" while being dragged away is 10 out of 10. The Ospreay/Omega story is good but also has some significant problems. The main highlight being that Kenny Omega is a great, loveable guy until he gets the AEW World title then he immediately becomes a paranoid, selfish egomaniac dick is a story development that I absolutely love. He's been absolute gold. Ospreay is drowning a bit though, his character and motivation is all over the place. He needs to keep it as simple white meat babyface as possible while up against a more complex villain. Who the fuck cares about COVID in Japan?! You've got a World title match coming up, bruv! At this point I'm kind of hoping Kenny keeps the title, this character is far more interesting than whatever Ospreay's doing. When Ospreay turned up in AEW everyone was impressed with his babyface mic work but since coming back from injury he's definitely regressing on that front. I love the absurdity of the Allin/Knight feud being based around blowing up your opponent whenever possible. Can't wait to see what they're going to explode at Wembley. Bringing Steve Borden Jnr in...so that's definitely setting up a Sting cameo at All In. Quote
AshC Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I've not seen a Dynamite since attending Forbidden Door, last August. How did they bring Ospreay back after that injury death angle? I've read he ended up teaming with the Moxley lads that put him out? How did that happen? Quote

The King Of Swing Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Have Omega and Osprey, stopped talking yet? Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted August 21 Paid Members Posted August 21 If All In wasn’t in the UK, with Ospreay going for the World Title, there’d be a serious argument about switching out the main event, letting Willow and Mercedes headline. Hopefully they can prolong it and finally give the women a pay per view main event at All Out. In a business where we see pull apart brawls every week, I’ll remember that one for a long time. Here all day long for the speed with which Willow Nightingale removed her ear-rings to go kill a girl. She’s the best! Quote

Is the government ban on fireworks and things that we got that alert text about still in effect? Andy Burnham run in during the TNT Match? Hang on… TNT … Dynamite … the clues are all there. Darby and Kevin to go full Wile E Coyote?? Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted August 21 Posted August 21 The Osprey/Omega segment got better as it went along. When they faced off the first time at Wrestke kingdom they did a similar thing at a press conference, and people were absolutely raving about Osprey’s “babyface fire”, which equated to him saying fuck a few times and not much else. I was worried that this would just be a retread of that, but thankfully it wasn’t. “Clon, Davis and Doyle” sounds like either a group that would be in a Roald Dahl book or a firm of solicitors. Speaking of El Clon, whatever happened to Hologram? Having Bryce Remsburg ref the women’s four way match was a great bit of business as it meant he couldn’t do his usual knockoff ‘Earl Hebner shoving people around’ routine. Bringing Son of Sting into the Darby/Knight feud - fucking yes, we’re getting Sting at Wembley I know Tag Rules tend to get abandoned in Young Buck matches towards the end of matches so they do all their mad sequences, but they made a tag in the first couple of minutes here where Matt was literally half way between two corners. Throughout the match you’ve got Remsburg telling Nick “no! You’ve got to be in the corner?” Why? You’ve already let them make a tag half down the ring, no wonder the guys confused. Quote
