(EDIT - Ozzy also is well documented amongst other things as being a serial domestic abuser including having knocked out Sharon's front teeth and been arrested for attempted murder following a seperate incident against her. These are just the incident's that the general public have became aware of).

I feel the best way to approach such things is to try and accept/understand that 90% plus of the famous people from 80s/90s/00s and probably either side of that, are/were complete and utter pieces of shit that we just publicly know varying levels of detail as to how much of a piece of shit they are/were.

Then just try to seperate that knowledge from the entertainment and nostalgia we have enjoyed due to their performances.

RIP Hulk. I can't believe you didn't kick out at 1 brother.

A sad day for wrestling. Did some questionable things to say the least but this daft form of entertainment just wouldn't have become what it was without Hogan.

A bit of a surreal one in truth. RIP.

I'm never going to lick Tony Khan's arse but he and AEW have really upped their game when it comes to racial equality in mainstream American wrestling, probably best to just say nothing at all about Hogan.

In some better news from all this, regardless of where you fall on Hogan (and it's complex for many reasons), I'm sure we can all agree that as a result of his passing it's great news that it means Mark from Wrestle Me got to do a live interview on BBC Radio 5 Live this morning on the subject. Every cloud.

Yes but the stance starts to come across as rather hollow once you wheel out Ric Flair on your TV and have Darby Allin on payroll.

Its the inconsistency that bugs me. Hulk Hogan certainly held racist views and was caught out.

But the same vitriol towards Hogan isn’t replicated towards others who have also done some awful things.

I don’t think there should be a league table of what’s worse than what. 

Any wrestling locker room in the 80’s and 90’s was a fucking cesspit and we all know it. I’m sure we don’t even know half of it.
