Unsafe working environment. I mean, thank god he happened to be wearing gear he could actually wrestle in. Can you imagine if he was wearing crocs instead?  He was lucky that time.
 

I guess that’s what you have to do backstage, even if you’re not a wrestler, make sure you’re dressed appropriately in case you suddenly need to get in the ring. Maybe Vince’s old motto of Anything can happen in the World Wresting Federation (nay, Entertainment) was actually the truth.

I don't think it's talked about enough how for a billion dollar decades old company that has produced thousands of hours of television how low rent, cheap looking and poor quality so much of their output is. Netflix paid millions of dollars for WWE content and they're putting out stuff which would get cut from even the shittest low budget direct to DVD film. Kind of insulting that they expect anyone to think this is real.

I for one look forward to this.

Opens on Triple H playing with his pen sat at his desk in Stamford playing with his pen saying “I don’t give shitty jobs” in front of a bemused Ethan Page. Tells him he walks the walk but does not talk the talk, vis-a-vis he has never been in a six man ladder match. Thankfully the Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative in NXT is a personal friend of his. Gets on the blower to downstairs. After some pleasantries (“Shawn, you old slag. It’s the Gamemeister general”) he sells the SVPTD on Page with “Has he wrestled in a six man ladder match? He agents the six man ladder matches” before signing off with more pleasantries (“I'm seeing you Sunday, aren't I? For my sins? How is Rebecca? She left you yet?”).

Followed by Booker T screaming “Squeal piggy, squeal” in the direction of Stephanie Vaquer as Hunter pisses himself giggling and Cody stares blankly into the camera, and culminating with Road Dog being unable to find his notebook of impromptu matches and shitty roll up finishes, because Cody’s hidden it inside a jelly.

I've just started watching the first episode and it is really pulling back the curtain. Alot of swearing which makes me feel like it's opening the door abit more.

But it does feel authentic but I'm only in episode one

There's an argument that as soon as a camera is pointed at anything it ceases to be "reality" regardless of who is responsible for the production therein, and that probably applies here. WWE's involvement absolutely makes that the case, but simply by virtue of there being a camera in the room it changes the dynamic immediately.

Absolutely. But the other thing here is WWE will have final sign off. What we end up seeing is only what they want us seeing.

I mean sure, but any company that allows a camera to be pointed at it's operations would be the same. This is not unique to WWE, that's just the misleading nature of any "fly-on-the-wall" programme in the modern era. No company is going to sign off on a behind-the-scenes doc without final approval of the content.
