Fascinated by this show. As with anything like this, it’ll be a jarring mix of work and shoot, and the most interesting elements will likely be stuff in the background of shots, that they never even considered. I wonder whose face will be covered with a Post-It note this time.

I predict a huge circle wank, where they’ll spend loads of time focussing on what creative geniuses Bruce Prichard and Michael Hayes are, and then some time between the airing of Episode Three and Four some big scandal involving them will come out, becoming a huge embarrassment.

Episode Five, requiring The Rock’s approval, never gets released.

I think you hit the nail on the head there, Supremo.

As with everything like this, they are only going to let you see what they want you to see and it will be a mix of work and shoot under the guise of being 'This is all real'. 

I am intrigued by it though so may have to give it a watch.

Do you think? I reckon they’re smarter than that. They’ll look at the PR issues they’ve faced and attempt to counter it. Suggestions that women were abused? They’ll place a focus on a young female writer, and she’ll be assigned a high profile storyline, will feel self-doubt but somehow pull it off - maybe after a Triple H heart-to-heart or something.

Allegations of The Rock being a nightmare to work with in Hollywood? He’ll be shown to be hands on and passionate, suggestions ideas even when he’s on a movie set.

Allegations of racism? Given that this is pretty much accepted in the US these days they might not attempt to counter that, but maybe they’ll do some light-touch highlighting of the diversity of their writing team. 

Toxic workplace? Maybe we’ll see some drama, but it’ll be resolved by Triple H and/or Nick Khan, who will make a point of highlighting that they’re not just a team, they’re a family. 

I mean, fuck, maybe Triple H will highlight that he was very much on the outs during the McMahon era - ‘I didn’t get to speak to the writing team, the producers or even the PAs - I thought it was over for me in wrestling’

I’m expecting this to be a counterpoint to any negative press that may pop up in the coming months. We’ll see.

Oh, absolutely. The whole thing will ultimately be a PR project to insist everything is fine. I meant a scandal will drop in real life, completely undermining whatever they’re pushing on the show.

Yeah not for me this. They learned a huge lesson I think from letting so much footage go out on Beyond The Mat and won’t make that mistake again. This will basically be Total Divas but they’ll use words like shoot and kayfabe every now and again.

if this show doesn't contain one single shot of Triple H helping someone choreograph there entrance by pointing, or moving on a certain beat that is already obvious then it's completely failed.

It's Cody I'm also worried about in shows like these. In scripted reality type settings he's one of the most insincere people I've ever seen, which is staggering given how genuinely normal he is capable of being.

You have to make yourself seem like the reason for the success and the machine the cogs turn with, it looks better for when TKO eventually start fucking some of them off out their jobs.

Yep, it's so obvious this is why he's all over the product all the fucking time. Voicing the intro, starting every major show with an in ring promo, releasing videos on social media of himself supposedly giving advice and help to the wrestlers.  And now this documentary series.

I'm sure if he was completely secure in his job and never had to worry about being sacked and  replaced he'd probably still be doing a lot of all that because his ego is huge and he always wants to be the centre of attention anyway but he's definitely ramped it up now TKO are the owners.

God knows how bad he'll get when the boom inevitably ends,  business declines a bit and he starts to get put under pressure from above .

Seems legit. I remember one time Triple H got himself a tank and invaded WCW. Lucky there was CCTV or something or it might never have ended up on Raw.

Imagine if the whole show is them just trying to kayfabe make sense of shit that happens on TV?  Every impromptu challenge being paired with a clip of the writers ripping pages out of their scripts, production guys furious because the announce table keeps getting destroyed, deadpan to-the-camera reaction interviews about that time the Wyatt's murdered some of the crew.  Would be more entertaining than the actual show.
