There’s a few ways this happened:

1. Arteta is an absolute moron for letting Eze take a penalty, not doing his homework, because he usually does that daft stutter run-up and always misses

2. Arteta is an absolute moron as he knew that Eze usually does that daft stutter run-up and always misses, yet still let him take the pen

3. Eze promised Arteta he wouldn’t do the daft stutter run-up and intentionally did it anyway to ensure that Crystal Palace remain the only London-based Champions of Europe

Number 3 for me, Clive.

If you’d told me at the start of the season English teams would make all three finals, I’d have been shocked. So, utterly delighted all three went the way I hoped.

Here’s an interesting sequel to “Arsenal fan supporting Freiburg against the Villa” ;

Really?? Fuck you, Chris!

I thought the two highlights of the game were the ref getting wound up so much watching Arsenal do their 5 minute "you take the throw in, no you take throw in" routine at the end of the first half. That when they immediately won a corner, as Saka was trudging over in slow motion to take it, he blew the whistle for half time.

The other was right after half time when Mosquera was taking 5 hours to take a simple throw in, the ref said "fuck this" and booked him. Can we have some more of that next season, please Premier League referees ?

The rest was shite.

Time wasting pretty-much sums up their whole game plan. Watching it backfire against Wolves of all teams was one of the feel good moments of the season.

I was gutted last night, but I'm actually very proud today. Those players gave it everything and nullified the best team in Europe.

We've gone quarters, semis, final in the last 3 years, progressing forwards so I suspect we'll be back there again and when we do win it, it'll taste even sweeter. This feels different to 2006 when it felt like one last great run from a brilliant team who were soon to need rebuilding. This is another step on the journey.

Also we won the league, and the table doesn't lie. Best team in the league. 1 million at the parade. Only London team in the Champions League. Fuck it, I would have bitten your hand off if offered that in August. Can't complain.

Sad news that Keegan has stage 4 cancer. Even the top doctor bloke says his new treatment plan has at most around 33% chance of success.

The rest of the article is Keegan being pretty honest and seems like there's some bridge building with Newcastle United going on
