Got over FTR, Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness, Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic/Cool Hand Ang. Perfectly done all round. Thrown in loads of great womens business and a fun main event and it was a good show, I think. Really don't agree with the word "perfect" being used anywhere near this segment. I thought some of it was horrible. The FTR promos were rough. They talk all right at times but they're not great overall. Danny Garcia looked like a fucking melon getting involved in this too. The bits with Skiavone, Nigel and 2.0 were all good so a mild positive for it but I thought it exposed the weaknesses of a heel FTR act. Get them a good manager. Gotta say, she's absolutely not for me. The tongue thing, the way her name is spelled with a z, those horrific promos before her match with Mercedes and she's still awfully green in-ring. I appreciate how young she is but there's a perfect environment for her to be in right now and it isn't on Dynamite or Collision. I was gonna skip Collision after that dreadful Dynamite last week but watched most of it based on the feedback on here and I didn't enjoy it at all. Just a boring show in front of an average crowd. westlondonmist Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 Only doing 2 dates? Honestly expected separate Collision and Dynamite tapings or a house show on top. Quote

This is one of the problems AEW has. TK has to be there. Doesn't matter if it was house shows or the Universal tapings. He will do his marathon tapings to fit around his schedule rather than delegate. Quote

Agree with @HarmonicGenerator Don't think I can be arsed to go to London. Never been to Glass-cow though. That's very appealing. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted April 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 16, 2025 (edited) Having now finally caught up with AEW, I’m happy to report that the rubbish Young Bucks/Kenny Omega promo was an anomaly and the rest of last week’s Dynamite and Collision settled into the usual good rhythms of 2025. Some quick thoughts… Every slap of Ricochet’s bald head is my new favourite slap of Ricochet’s bald head. Never ever gets old. Happy to see everything is trending towards Samoa Joe vs. Moxley. Bust out the medieval weapons! Hangman Adam Page refusing to listen to Prince Nana’s apology because it undermines the monster he’s become. The best. Hangman and Swerve vs. The Bucks is going to absolutely rule. Thoroughly enjoyed the 8-man 400,000 dollar spot fest. A tale as old as time. Crazy multi-man matches should be the signature of this company. It’s forever fascinating that they regularly have these belters and they almost never feature the Trios Titles. Chris Jericho fucking off without really putting anyone over. Of course. “Big Bill and Bryan Keith could beat me up…or even better…I could smash a telly and drive away.” Don’t come back, Chris. Go to the Fed. Loving heel FTR. A Ricochet-level career turnaround. Daddy Magic completing his transformation into Zandig by blading his head clean off. Wild. Nigel McGuinness angrily scolding Schiavone for putting himself in harms way, forcing Nigel to save him, was genuinely lovely. Second best love story behind Toni Storm’s lust for Statlander. Are FTR and MJF going to reunite as The Pinnacle? Does Wardlow need to get a new suit and warm up the jet? Anthony Bowens’ solo run would have been so much better without Billy Gunn. Love the new music. I want to complain about them not doing more UK tapings, they could have shot Dynamite in Scotland and then filmed Collision in Liverpool or Manchester to make it easy for me to attend, but who am I kidding. The tickets will probably be about three million quid anyway, so I likely wouldn’t have bothered regardless. They should prank call Disco Inferno and Eric Bischoff on this week’s Dynamite. Ask them how Nitro is doing. Whoppers. Athena and Billie Starkz moving up from ROH has been a great addition to AEW’s women’s division. Quickly discovering that Starkz is a complete nutter, who hates her own spine. New dream match is Billie Starkz vs. Darby Allin. I wonder if Collision on Thursday this weeks is a test, with plans to move there regularly? You assume it’d be better for everyone if they can fly in for two days and then go home. I wouldn’t be against it. Edited April 16, 2025 by Supremo Quote

They're awful, not half as good, important or as relevant to wrestling as they think they are. Only decent part was when Schiavone got involved, and especially Mcguiness. Did enjoy Daxs line of "you paid good money to watch me". Nah, no one is paying money to watch you mate, if he was wrestling in my back garden I'd close the curtains. I paid to see them in Crystal Palace. They're a fantastic tag team and had one of the best matches I've ever seen live. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 16, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted April 16, 2025 Yeah the FTR slander on here from certain people is a bit over the top and ridiculous. FTR vs Jay White/Juice Robinson is one of the best tag team matches of all time. Quote
Chili Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 It's because FTR Bald is so genuinely annoying and cringy at times it seems to bleed into opinions of him as a worker innit. They're a brilliant in-ring act and have always been so, but he does himself no favours. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 16, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted April 16, 2025 That's fair. I don't think I've ever seen a podcast do as much damage to someone's reputation as FTR Bald's one where he just whined and complained every week. Even he realised how much he was making himself look like a plank and had to cancel it. Quote

I think it's because TK didn't want to dent viewership of WrestleMania on Saturday rather than it going head to head with Collision. But in all seriousness, it would be a good shout, although I think one of the main reasons would be to avoid the clashes they've been having with PLEs and SNME. Quote
