I didn’t notice while watching Dynamite but have seen some backlash over them continuing the Hook beat down and chair spot after he vomited twice in the ring towards the end of the match due to concussion.

It's not happened a crazy amount but they have had issues before with continuing after there's an obvious concussion/knocked out wrestler. It's an issue in general in wrestling but you'd think there'd be someone on comms getting a message across to stop or something because when you're a big enough company you should have that ability.

Was it a concussion? I read elsewhere that he had the flu going into the match.

He's booked for Wednesday so unlikely he was concussed.

He looked like he was out of it when he failed to kick out of a pin, and they just awkwardly pretended he had done. They seemed to know it as I think they pretty much left him alone after that, other than him putting his submission on for the win, again not looking all there.

But then after the match, they did all the chair stuff. And as LaGoosh says, booked for next week, so who knows.

According to the Wrestling Observer, he didn’t suffer a concussion, and you’d have to hope that’s correct; as little trust as I have in Meltzer’s reporting.

EDIT: That said, if someone has thrown up at ringside, you should probably change plans and get them seen ASAP as a precaution, if nothing else; concussion or otherwise.

Now I know there is no continuity in wrestling and that the Trios Titles are worth so little that Moxley will allow himself to be seen near the actual belts, BUT does anyone else remember when Bullet Club Gold had to vacate the titles because Jay White was injured and Juice Robinson wasn't allowed to step in for him?

When The Gates of Agony appeared you just knew they would be the next team facing The Hurt Syndicate :)

FTR were good, but Adam Cole’s group can just piss off. Roderick Strong is probably my least favourite act in wrestling right now.

I thought it was funny when Nigel said here comes The Undisputed Kingdom and then Tony followed that with The Paragon is here. Cole mentioned the new name on Dynamite but that obviously hadn't got back to Nigel. I'm assuming this means no more Taven/Bennett.

I'm interested to see where they go with Mone/Athena, I was expecting that match at All In...I guess we may get Mone/Storm instead. Although I still expect Athena to be involved somewhere on the All In card as she's been involved in the PR since she's from the state.

I’m generally not an advocate for more titles, but I do think they should consider a women’s tag division - they have so many talented female wrestlers that it has a very good chance of succeeding.

On a related note, Tony K mentioned after the show he's creating a ROH Pure Women's title.

I hope he goes on to treat ROH as the developmental territory that it should be. If you get more wrestlers coming through its ranks as good as Billie Starkz, then it’s worth having around. Otherwise, it’s totally pointless.

So that'll mean half the womens roster will be bumped off to RoH and the ongoing decent storylines will be ditched and reduced in meaning...

Can't have those pesky women being in the spotlight too long...

Yeah Tony Khan hates women blah blah, give over, absolutely nothing has implied anything you've just doom predicted will happen.

Anyway the FTR segment was absolutely banging stuff especially when Tony got involved. Really enjoyed the performance from Nigel here too as a villain who knows what villains will do and showing a bit of awareness that he didn't want Tony to get actually hurt, loved the telling off he gave him after.

Bah humbug to you.

It seems a very good idea. It just took more than one scroll on Wikipedia to get from the men's rostwr to the women's and ROH is basically their NXT with some bigger names there to add value, sell tickets if they do anything separate and coach the youngsters.

By Wikipedias reasoning there's 38 wrestlers currently in the AEW womens division (including names like Abadon on the way out but still) that having an ROH womens division with Athena probably soon moving up, gives a chance for people like Starkz, Skye Blue once healed, Queen Aminata, Leila Grey and Anna Jay some more time to work matches, get featured more and feel less like a pop up whenever they appear.

Even having Serena Deeb in her professor role as the first Pure Champion would make sense, whoever finally dethrones her already has value added, plus a chance at more Joshi and Lucha crossovers too.

I get that people don't see RoH as having any value, but realistically it can serve a purpose when done right, and that's not breaking the walls down, more building for the future.

I think Starkz has outgrown ROH much as Athena has, but Skye Blue, Grey and Jay would certainly benefit from some time there, and Deeb would be a sensible addition to that roster as far as helping wrestlers develop goes. I don’t think it would be a bad idea to move Britt Baker to ROH either. She has name value, but is a step below the main roster - maybe some time away from the main AEW roster would help her improve.

The thing is Bendy Wookster that it looks from a casual glance that Tony doesn't really seem to give ROH much thought. Now I'm sure that is not true but that is how it looks. I mean someone on here the other day said that Sammy Guevera should be in a tag team with a veteran to help him develop and they didn't know he is ROH Tag Team Champion with Dustin Rhodes.
