Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted January 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 16, 2025 Nuffink and Like It is a good podcast. Comes out once a month and is the history of the FWA on TV with plenty of doses of calling Alex Shane a prick. Not a great listen if you are a fan of The New Breed or Sumners Quote
Chili Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 This is another Irish podcast I got into recently because I needed something for my dog walks. They have lovely pleasant voices and review bad periods in wrestling in a series format, first with 2000 WCW PPV's and then a chunk of the ECW 2006 revival. I'm really picky about wrestling podcasts so I was happy to find these lads really enjoyable. For some reason it's linked to the latest episode. Ignore and just check out the episode list. I dunno, technology or something. Quote
LCJ Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 Wrestle Me’s take on the Raw on Netflix debut is a great watch. Quote

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 30, 2025 Enjoyed the latest episode of Benno & Hamflett on In Your House 3; It’s a fun one because, while it wasn’t the greatest show, it had some fun talking points like the emergence of the Dean Douglas and Waylon Mercy characters, and Bret’s weird 95 where he was facing all sorts of midcarders and goofy gimmicks yet still delivering consistently despite that. The highlight for me though is definitely the bit when they’re on about Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette’s ages at the time of this show. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted March 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 18, 2025 Two mates of mine have recently started a podcast looking at retro wrestling toy lines, starting with the WWF LJN figures - ranking the figures in each series, discussing their place in the WWF at the time, asking if there's anyone that was prominent on TV that should have got a figure but didn't, that sort of thing. One of the hosts, Rich, runs a toy website (Action Figure Cellar) and has designed and done promotional artwork for a lot of wrestling figures, while the other, Marty, is a serious toy collector. Both have also wrestled. It's a fun easy listen. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted May 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 19, 2025 Just dropping in to say once again that I’m loving the Benno & Hamflett series on In Your House. Never miss it. They’re up to IYH 7: ‘Good Friends, Better Enemies’ now with the Shawn vs Diesel main event. Really enjoying it. Quote
Merzbow Posted May 19, 2025 Author Posted May 19, 2025 Yeah it's been a rare fan podcast I actually enjoy these days, but they still haven't reviewed my match for that five star Spotify review.. probably because it's Hakushi and Hayabusa in All Japan. Quote

They do a good job and it's better than 99% of other new wrestling pods I try. A few things irk me. The hyperbole gets a bit much, even for someone who absolutely adores the New Gen era. Also, any time Hamflett goes full @Supremo over the drizzing shite that is the modern-day 'fed. Also the word "fed". The content is good though. I enjoy the "house keeping" episodes that extend the series and the random match reviews. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted May 20, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 20, 2025 (edited) Got a lot of time for Hamflett. Nice when you find someone else who shares the same (awful) palate as you. Sometimes, you can’t beat a bit of Fed Slop. Delicious/dreadful. Edited May 20, 2025 by Supremo Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted May 20, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 20, 2025 On that, me and Hamflett are also completely synchronised when it comes to hilarious pro-wrestling stories actually sounding really shit and not funny at all. ”They came back from their tryout match and Owen and Davey had cut up all their clothes…brilliant. Well that sounds like a fucking nightmare, doesn’t it?” Never tire of Undertaker being called out as a loser, too. Quote
Paid Members Tommy! Posted June 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2025 The old SCG shows appear to have vanished from platforms. @Liam O'Rourke any likelihood they'll be back up? Quote

The Gaffer Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 I'm due a re-listen. I must admit, I'd forgotten all about it during my standard winter of giving most other podcasts 10 minutes before realising they annoy the fuck out of me. Quote
