I'm of the opinion that Wrestle Me is mostly good... but when it's bad it's terrible. And the latest video, on Macho/Jake from This Tuesday in Texas, is one I turned off halfway through.

So Undertaker sacked off his podcast host with zero warning and is now doing it with Michelle under an official WWE banner, what a prick. The former host was trying to make out like things are still good between them but you could see it's really hurt him.

What happened to Cafe de Rene? It suddenly stopped a couple of months ago with no explanation. I know Rene and his co-host had issues late last year but they seemed to resolve them and get the thing back on track.

I loved the Paul London episodes. That guy is very funny.

Between this and LFG, I look forward to a George Lucas style 'Special Edition' of the Streak with McCool replacing Paul Bearer in every WrestleMania.

Paul London was the only thing good about that show.

I think he gets bored with it. He has cancelled/threatened to cancel the show a couple of times before. Also, and this is just speculation, but he might be going through some personal stuff right now. A few months ago he was completely out of it on a livestream (with Teddy Hart, of all people) and later said he was seeking help. His long history of addiction issues is well known and he's said it's a constant struggle for him. It wasn't the first time he had looked like he was under the influnce on the pod. 

Cafe de Rene was a decent watch during the pandemic. Rene and the guests (especially Paul London) were typically very open and told some really interesting stories. After a while, it got a bit old hearing them bury the same guys, and WWE in general, over and over again. I don't think it has been entertaining for a long time and, while I might be in the minority, I thought his co-host James was insufferable.

Paul London himself was the better part of the infamous shoot interview with Brian Kendrick, who later he wasn't friends with. Kendrick was coming back doing goofy conspiracy theory stuff, whereas London was all for giving up the goods about when his peers were being dicks and bullies.

Rene’s old man died fairly recently as well didn’t he? Maybe a year or two ago. That seems to coincide with his addiction issues rearing their head again. I was never too keen on their podcast. I’d watch the little snippets on YouTube depending on the subject/guest but I don’t think I could’ve listened to a whole episode in one go. As others have said, that James seemed like a right knob and Rene could be a grumpy sod. I’d usually only check clips when Paul London or Maven were on as guests. But even then, as good as London was as a guest, he had a habit of eating loudly into to the camera. People eating on podcasts is a real bugbear of mine. You’ve had all day to eat, why wait until the podcast starts to slop your mouth between every other word? In general though, yeah, Paul London’s usually worth a listen. There was a shoot interview him and Tracy Smothers did where they’re in a car that I remember really enjoying years ago as well. Think the full thing is still on YouTube. 

I quite enjoy the Stevie Richards podcast when I dip in from time to time. From the bits I’ve seen Stevie seems likeable and him and the co-host who does the WSI channel seem to have decent chemistry. One minor thing that bugs me though, is the WSI guy calling Jeff Jarrett “Jeff Jerrett” for some reason every single time he comes up in conversation. Like I say it’s minor and nitpicky but it irritates me now I’ve noticed it. I wouldn’t mind so much but Jeff’s whole thing was spelling his name out. Jarrett. J-A-rrett.

I don't mind the Stevie show but it's one of those that absolutely depends on the topic. If it's modern day stuff he's going about I'll give it a pass, but he's a likeable enough guy.

Try getting through one of Paul Roma's YouTube podcasts. That's a fucking mission, his co-host bloke is like that Cafe de Rene lad, an absolute chore to deal with.

Stevie comes across as a little too full of himself at times and it feels like I've heard it all before better from other people with him too, but he did have a good story about what a prat Joey Ryan is recently (not that anyone would be surprised).

Stevie full of himself? I haven’t got that vibe at all myself. If anything he seems a bit too self deprecating a lot of the time to me. Admittedly I don’t listen to every show, I dip in depending on the subject, so maybe I’ve missed something. But he seems like one of the least ego centric wrestlers out there to me.
