So far for the shit telly:

about 4 episodes of The Repair shop

x2 Great British Railway Journeys

x2 Midsummer Murders

An episode of Downton Abbey (I don't watch this so not sure if it's representative, but I thought this was atrocious)

A Christmas episode of Heartbeat

I put on a Sharpe at one point that I thought would be acceptable, but I was overruled and on went The Repair Shop.

We did watch One Foot in the Algarve, which is very good, and there's a Barry Humphreys thing on later.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Pull a Cannibal Man's Uncle, lob a pig in blanket at the wall and run out.

I hope you’ve all had an amazing day - Merry Christmas! I’ve said already elsewhere, but a huge thank you to everyone on here. It’s been a tough year at times (I’m dealing with an extremely painful health problem which is never nice, and I also lost my wonderful dog) - but this place has given me fantastic escapism when I’ve needed it. There are so many brilliant people on this board.

Thank you to everyone - here’s to a fantastic 2024!

Going to finish the kitchen, have a bath and go to bed I think.

Sorry it was a bit rubbish for you.  I'd make yourself a monster coffee tomorrow.

Wassail and Merry Christmas to all of you. Hope you're all in a food coma like me, enjoying TV that you don't have to concentrate on, and eating lots of chocolate.

Was a lovely time today - my cousin came over with his family. Was great to see my little nephew and niece. Full of beans, those two.

Yeah I echo this and @FelatioLips as a fellow coffee bore, some pics of the process please.

It wasn’t all bad, just stressful!

I rang again at 7pm and my Grandad was up in his chair and having a bit of food and water after I told my Gran I’d come round and bollock him and my Brother went round and did the same!

Kitchen is done now so I’ll get all my gear out and get some photos up tomorrow. I’m sure we’ll have an arty farty coffee thread on here somewhere and if not I’ll make one.

I’m finally sat down and wrecking all the kids who got COD for Xmas. I haven’t bought one since Cold War on the PS4 so I’m a little rusty!

Hope you’ve all had a grand day.

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you had a lovely day.

I got a new coffee machine and a Seasame Street jumper. Pretty uneventful but fun day with the family.

The best stocking-filler I’ve ever been given.

Good to read of so many of you having a great day, and also those who had a more stressful one taking it in your stride.

My old man met my girlfriend’s family for the first time and within ten minutes, both patriarchs were eulogising over Tony Benn and laying into the Tories. It was a joyous Christmas moment.

We had a nice day at the in-laws yesterday, first time we haven’t had to do the cooking since 2016. Then started with the chills last night, tested positive for covid this morning. Urgh.

That episode of Eastenders was nuts. Hasn’t Stacey already been a part of at least one Christmas Day murder at The Vic? Linda going straight to the stab to death option is very on point. Why try and bash him on the head a bit first when you can skewer the guy. My suspension of disbelief had already ended when I saw that Kurt from Teachers was their top heel and was able to overpower his D-Bol ridden son.
