Actor and director Dean Sullivan has died at the age of 68.

Sullivan was best known for his portrayal of Jimmy Corkhill in the Channel 4 soap Brookside between 1986 and 2003.

"To millions he was and very much still is remembered as 'Jimmy', to family and friends he was 'Dino'. Dean's family wants to thank Arrowe Park Hospital for their unwavering and consistent support. We ask that you respect their privacy in their time of grief," a statement from Hamilton Management and his family said.

He died peacefully following a short illness.

Means fuck-all. Sometimes they give it to people who did deserve it, and sometimes they give it to people who don't.

If any non-American did even a portion of the shit Kissinger did, they'd be in the Hague and then prison. The fact he walked around breathing free air until the age of 100, and got a Nobel Prize into the bargain, shows what a joke international law is, and our institutions are.

Have you ever actually looked down the list of people who have won this, Pete?

The next issue of Viz isn't out until January now, but there could be some cracking Kissinger content to be had in it.

Yep....not a pleasant read.

Wasn't suggesting he deserved the NPP, just that he'd won it despite everything else.

That's a shame, but he had a good run. Will never forget the first time I saw him performing on stage, at the 1995 Fleadh in Finsbury park. Usual thing of showing up with a fag in one hand, can in the other, then every other song would flip the V to off-stage, and a runner would come on with a freshly-lit tab for him. Chain-smoked through the entire performance; incredible.
