Factotum Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Take out the obviously horrible reasons for him leaving in the first place, this is very funny. The mad old bastard Quote
Infinity Land Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Along with the 3 for 3 switch, 2 other board members have quit. https://corporate.wwe.com/news/company-news/2023/01-06-2023 This is the current board according to that link. The Board currently consists of: Vince McMahon Stephanie McMahon Nick Khan Paul Levesque Steve Koonin Michelle McKenna Steve Pamon George Barrios Michelle Wilson Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted January 6, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 6, 2023 It’s going to be wild watching AEW try and write Regal back into storylines. Bryan Danielson vs. MJF at Revolution, Title vs. Grays Sports Almanac. Quote
CavemanLynn Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 If we assume Trips and Nick Khan are one side of the board, and Steph could go either way but shows solidarity with her batty dad, do we know enough about the other five names to know how things would go if there's a struggle? Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 One of the board members who have resigned was in charge of the Vince McMahon investigation. Haha. Quote
CL Punk Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Yeah, Vince is a mad old bastard but is everyone forgetting why Vinnie Mac had to step down in the first place? Instead of fucking off and enjoying his retirement, he's coming back to ruin Trip's day and to sell the fucking company because he can't be the boss. He should have stayed retired. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted January 6, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Trump may have shaved him bald at Wrestlemania 23, but who successfully staged an insurrection on January 6th? That’s the real quiz. Edited January 6, 2023 by Supremo Quote

SaitoRyo Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 6 minutes ago, RalphyV2 said: What does this all mean long term? i do not understand much at the best of times, yet alone the corporate world and all that stuff. Will VKM return just to sell it then leave again? Or sell, get the money but still have a say in running it? Will he be involved creatively again and change things that have, in my opinion, improved? Will some wrestlers now leave if its going to revert back to type again? Hard to say what it means for the long-term, as there's a bunch of ways this can play out. Vince apparently wants to sell it soon and make it so that he stays in power once it has been sold. In his press release he claimed he didn't want to meddle with how things are being run by different teams - which one would assume would encompass creative - but I find it very hard to believe he won't want a say in what is shown on WWE TV. He's not coming back to fuck about with Bray Wyatt storylines, but he's a control freak who is used to getting final say and seeing his vision play out, so don't be surprised. I doubt any wrestlers will leave out of principle, but there might end up being a bit of house cleaning and I'd wager some people who are probably a bit on edge right now and waiting to see how things unfold. Basically, there's a lot of unknown and while there's still investigations into Vince pending and the threat of more allegations being made public, anything can happen. Quote

Paid Members Nick James Posted January 6, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 6, 2023 Show me a wrestling journo who doesn't overlook certain things for clicks and views and I'd agree. WhatCulture will be creaming themselves at the thought of Vince being back, never mind taking the moral high ground. Sorry, WhatCultureWWE. Whether it be Vince or any other of the 50,000 accused abusers, paedos and sex pests, I can guarantee each and every wrestling journo has overlooked at least one because they like the wrestler / character. Wrestling journos are as carny as the wrestlers themselves. Quote
