She just so happens to be Palestinian..

C'mon, don't do that.

Characters get cut out of films all the time for many reasons. 99.99% for timing and narrative reasons.

I’m a big fan of Partysarus Rex.

Mike's New Car and Lava for me. One of my favourite memories is my youngest absolutely loving the latter but covering her ears every time when the volcano shoots out the water and saying "No Daddy, no lava today" and it makes me sad as I miss those innocent days. Yesterday she said to me "Imagine being nearly 40, what an L"

How times change.

While you're not wrong you can't entirely rule out Paramount's documented anti Palestinian racism, I'd really like to think it there's no malice here.

My Cousin Vinny

I'm sure I saw this a long time ago (or at least most of it), but I couldn't remember much about it and decided to stick it on. I'm glad I did, because while it's not a great film or anything, it's a lot of fun and very funny in parts. Pesci carries it, but the supporting cast is excellent, too, particularly Marisa Tomei. Eminently watchable studio comedy that's good for five or six laughs.

Rolling Thunder

I loved this. It's a PWO who comes back from the war in Vietnam and has trouble adjusting to regular life. It's very deliberately paced for the first 20-to-30 minutes, and then a sudden, violent event completely flips the film on its head. I'm predisposed to liking most 70s-made films set in the American south, but this is a cut above most of them. It's wonderfully shot and Tommy Lee Jones is great support as the fellow PWO who is recruited to assist in the main character's vengeance.

Not only is it a great film, it's also one of the best courtroom movies ever.

Yeah. It's not as good as those three. Or Toy Story 1 and 2.

You lost me when you said Inside Out was the best Pixar film, but different strokes for different folks I guess. Hehe.

Love this film. Stands up to a rewatch, too. Same guy directed The Outfit a few years before, one of the great American 70s crime films.

I'll add it to the list. I've had The Nickel Ride on it for a while, too, and this has compelled me to watch it sooner or later.

I was just in the middle of typing up my official Pixar ranking when I noticed that I haven’t yet seen Elemental, Monsters University, Finding Dory, Cars 3 (who gives a fuck though) or Onward. I’ve only seen Brave and Incredibles 2 once and I don’t remember much about them. With all that in mind, I am going to watch the entire Pixar back catalogue in order to do a proper ranking with them all fresh in the mind. 28 films in total. I might even rewatch all of the shorts as well. Let the Pixar marathon commence!

This of course means I have to watch the Cars films again. Pray for me.

Cars 3 is better than 2 for what that’s worth. Elemental is worth a watch, but I didn’t get on with Onward

I do actually have a Pixar ranking. I won’t subject you to the whole thing but top 5 is Toy Story, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, Coco. The Cars sequels are the bottom 2 but I don’t mind the first one.

Up is mostly just above mediocre film that happens to have a superlative 5 minutes. This tricks people into thinking it's a great film

I don't feel tricked tbh.

Wolfs - absolute lazy generic slop. You've already seen this film twenty times and it was crap then too. Had a $200 million budget so I assume it either went entirely on Pitt and Clooney's salaries, is a money laundering operation or both.
