Mr_Danger Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I was literally just thinking of downloading that from PS Plus but it turns out they’ve taken it off. I can’t even play Turok without wanting to be sick so I doubt I’d have fared much better with Teardown anyway. Quote

DavidB6937 Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I haven't got to my main presents yet but I've seen a few that look positively PS5 game shapely! ? Quote
The King Of Swing Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Dragon Age Veilguard (PS5) Got it on sale for a little over £40. Only about an hour in and it's pretty fun, so far. Quote
Merzbow Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Finally started Cruelty Squad after it never seemingly working well on my PC and it's the perfect anti-corpo game we need today, take Deus Ex and give it to a lone anarchic developer who's visually influenced by LSD: Dream Simulator and a bunch of body horror. Absolutely nothing like this game exists unless there's something underground that hasn't yet been found. Maybe not Christmas material unless you're already raging at the Capitalism of it all by 3pm. I've never experienced it with any other game before so I don't know what it is about this. I was fine with Turok. Will play it in small chunks and see if that works for me. Quote

Paid Members FLips Posted December 25, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 25, 2024 Astro Bot I won’t go too much into it as a lot of you got it for Christmas, but it’s brilliant. I played it non-stop for 2 days and got the platinum on it. Only negative I would say is the music is great in-game but you won’t remember more than a couple of tracks when you’ve finished it. Everything else is near perfect though. Quote

Dr. Alan Grant Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 You do not. It’s similar to Elder Scrolls games in that they’ll reference places and events from previous games, but you don’t need to have played them to understand what’s going on. I played a little yesterday and it’s only early doors, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’ve made my traditional pale skinned, red haired, green eyed archer lady and combat is fun and it’s a beautiful looking game. Should keep me occupied for quite a while. Quote

If anything Veilguard is probably the lightest on referencing past events compared to previous games. So far anyway. For example I'm a few hours in and haven't noticed a single reference to the Mage/Templar war, that was a big part of the lore especially DA2 (criminally underrated game, imo) and DA Inquisition.
