I've pretty much abandoned all games for PowerWash Simulator. I never want to see a satellite dish ever again.

It's a cracking game. The DLC stuff is pretty cool as well. Cleaning the obstacle course from the first Tomb Raider and the clock tower from Back To The Future.

I bought the Kingdom Hearts collection for 50p in a charity shop and played about an hour, fuck this shit, I'm going to CEX to make some cash or trade it in for something decent.

I haven’t played them since they first came out, are they terribly dated now?

I dunno, if they were like this on release they were horrible back then, too. I can deal with clunky combat, I love a lot of jank from that era but not this.

I might stick with it until I get magic, but it's tough to swallow all the Disney stuff in 2025.

I fancy playing a Yakuza game. I played Judgment when it came out, which I understand is somehow linked to the series. I wasn’t a massive fan though. Other than that one, I haven’t played anything else. The following are all available on PS Plus, or in my library when I picked them up in sales.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon

Yakuza Kiwami

Like A Dragon: Ishin!

Yakuza 3

Yakuza 4

Yakuza 5 Remastered

What’s the best one to go for to get the best Yakuza experience? I’m not concerned with the not knowing the story from earlier games, I just want an interesting open world with side quests galore and stuff to collect.

Zero is the real answer as it has the best side stuff in the series but that's not on there so I'd say Kiwami, it's a remake of 1 in the Zero engine so doesn't feel as clunky as 3, 4 or 5.

Yeah ideally Zero is the best place to start but Kiwami, is a good shout.

If you enjoy Kiwami, then I'd recommend picking up Zero, if you get the chance.

Also Fist of The North Star Lost Paradise, might be worth a shot. It's basically a Yakuza game in all but setting.

Nintendo just quietly revealed the Switch 2 on their Youtube channel, with a full Direct to come in April.

I can't personally say i'm too excited about it. I'll forever be waiting for just a good basic Nintendo console that we haven't had since the Gamecube. I like the Switch, but this is just the same thing but a little bit bigger with QoL design improvements. I know the gimmicky stuff works but I'm not sure how wise releasing more of the same now things like the Steam Deck are around is, because I don't even need to see the February Direct to know this isn't as powerful, won't run as much, and isn't designed as well.

I'll be getting one, and I'm sure I'll love it, but it doesn't thrill me.

Will it play Switch games?

Yeah back compatible with physical and digital with some to-be-named exceptions.

I've seen speculation that the games they are talking about are things like Ring Fit Adventure and Labo because the new joycons will not fit in the peripherals.
