I worked with a guy and he was talking about his rugby team and what they did on a night out. He referred to a guy as "Black Mikey", I asked why they called him that. He said "we have 2 guys called Mikey, so we call him Black Mikey". He said he didn't mind but I bet it bothered him especially as white Mikey was just called Mikey. Another guy I worked with (he is mixed race) said he was constantly getting chased and feared for his life where he lived (Hounslow) but couldn't afford to move out from his parents. We may live in the same place and work in the same places but London (I've lived my whole life here) is not this multicultural place it paints itself as. There are numerous towns that are almost one race. I've seen abuse about. I was on the bus last week and the bus played a soundbite saying it had reached its 10 person limit, one guy gets up and calls the driver a Chinese cunt who should be used to being in packed places with disease. A couple of months ago at Ealing Hospital a white guy on his phone bumps into an Asian lady. He shouts at her "in this fucking country we walk on the left side now get out".  Can it better, yes as equal rights in law doesn't mean equality in society. No it hasn’t changed in two weeks I totally agree with you but the longer this thing goes on the more damage it will do to society, it will create racism and cause divide these people originally protesting have ever seen . Their marching for equality when the results will be the total opposite.  if society was that bad and Black people were getting abused left right and center , not getting jobs not getting into university’s or schools.  Not having equality why wasn’t all this happening before George floyd death ?  i 100% agree with you it’s all media driven and people have fallen for it .  I also agree that some cracks formed with all this leave nonsense, it brought out the uneducated pricks that for some reason think they have more of a right to live here then anyone else. I live next door to an Indian couple who live next door to a black family , there’s a polish family that live on the end of the road , there’s Chinese people living On the estate . My daughter goes to school with people from all backgrounds, i work and my friends are people from all walks of live . I’m sorry but thatS equality and fair , what is it that has to change ?
