Weird that they're just 'Vinegar'. Salt & Vinegar on Doritos seems wrong, but S&V is the best crisp flavour, so really want to try these. You posting in this thread just makes me think about Discos. I haven't had them in a long time but I remember their salt and vinegar being intensely acidic! Quote

Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 11, 2025 I often get cheese & onion Discos. They used to do a really good bacon flavour pack, but must have discontinued them. Quote
Ro_y Disco Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 S&V Discos are a real guilty pleasure of mine. I struggle to see past them when picking a snack in a Tezzas/Tesco Meal Deal. Sounds like Vinegar Doritos might be comparatively caustic, so are instantly on my 'to try' list. Quote

Cousin Jim Bob Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 I'm sorry @SuperBacon I am a Prawn Cocktail flavour crisps hater as well. The only thing it is good for really is watching annoying Americans try it on YouTube 'react to British food' videos. It is up there with Marmite in their level of upset. Quote

It's not something I'd choose all the time, but I love the Discos, so when I get a six pack I eat them in the order of Cheese & Onion, Salt and Vinegar, Prawn Cocktail repeated twice. Obviously all in the space of 2 minutes. Would love a 150g bag of Discos. Sort it out KP you pricks. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 11, 2025 I like prawn cocktail on occasion, but for the most part I find it a bit too sweet. Quote
Ro_y Disco Posted February 12, 2025 Posted February 12, 2025 You're right that bog standard ones like Walkers are too sweet (I've never been able to put my finger on that vaguely disappointing feeling after finishing a bag before), but McCoy's Sizzling King Prawn and Aldi's Specially Selected Prawn Cocktail are incredible crisps. Never tried those two - will give them a go. Thanks for the recommendation. Quote

Taste wise they're not bad at all with an unexpected kick of heat, and would be cracking with like a garlic or sour cream type dip, but they get to the point where the texture/flavour feels like it's so sharp your losing tastebuds/layer of skin if that makes sense? Ooooh, now you're talking. I've been out of the crisp game for a good few years now, but I could be tempted back in by some that will cause temporary damage to my mouth. Quote
