deathrey Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 The local Facebook page had photos of the queues outside the shop, so sadly no crisps for Bacon Quote

Paid Members Carbomb Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 So had this recently. You know me: I like my crisps like I like my wrestling - Bret's. But this was...disappointing. Mainly because it's really just their version of Ready Salted. I'd bought it on the basis of the name, as I thought it implied that it might be extra crunchy. It was satisfyingly crunchy, but then all Bret's crisps are, and the others have intense flavours. This didn't have any particular bonus crunch. For the price, it's just not worth it. (I will say that the actual potato flavour is nice and nutty, but again: just not worth the extra money.) Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 5, 2025 Moderators Posted March 5, 2025 Has these fancy crisps from a posh sandwich shop near my office. Really lovely flavour and the texture of the actual crisp was very delicate in a nice way. Bag was an odd size though. 50g. A bit too much for going with a sandwich, but not enough to be worth saving for later. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted March 5, 2025 Members Posted March 5, 2025 Next time a picture of the sandwich in the sarnie thread thank you. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 Yeh, I had some San Carlo crisps the other day. They were decent in themselves, but for the price they didn't stand out over other premium brands, for me. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted March 6, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 6, 2025 Sensations limited edition pork & apple. On the one hand, if the crisp mentions apple, you want to taste it. On the other hand, how much apple do you want in a crisp before its overpowering and weird? It's a balance that for me, they've fallen short of attaining. Worth trying, but not repeating. Quote
