Bret's are turning out a lot of different flavours recently. Can't keep up. 

These are basically dipping mayonnaise-flavour crisps.

They're alright, and obviously not a common flavour - but they're really just alright. Bit of salt, bit of tang, very light savoury flavour. Not quite worth the money, but almost.

The aioli ones are Summerslam 97 Bret. 

These are lovely and they don't mess about, spicy little sods! Obviously the only downside is that they are ridged. 8/10

The "Small Batch" thing is a Brew Dog level lie but they are lovely, one of my fav super hot crisps. I always see them in Heron Foods.

I'm sure I have seen some of these mentioned here. What are the highlights ? 

I'm sure most are good but at around £2 a bag and me being skint atm. Want to try and be picky.

Those Lorenz Crunchips ones are superb. I actually haven't tried any of the others, so the best thing for you do is buy them all

I’ll need to give them a try. I have a weirdly high tolerance to spice, and as a result it’s very rare that a crisp hits the sweet spot for me. It also makes curries an absolute bastard to make as I end up ruining it for everyone else if I ramp it up to the level of heat I enjoy.

How do you fare with numbing spices? Lays have one that's a bit of a Chinese hot pot flavour and tastes nothing likr a Western Walkers/Lays, it's spicy but in the way your tongues goes all numb.

I really didn't like these ones. Not so much the spice, but I just didn't really like the flavour, which is a shame as I was really excited to try them.

I loved Szechuan pepper, possibly even more than chilli - it's spicy in a different way, but also so flavoursome.

I found them to be pretty moreish, although there's a bit of a general "spice cabinet" taste to them too. Some Chinese crisps maybe have too many spices mixed in at times.

That sounds interesting, and the honest answer is I don’t know! I did a hot wings challenge at a local restaurant though, and I wasn’t affected in any significant way. Well, not in my mouth anyway. Other things…still happened. 

That’s a very obtuse point of reference, but yeah, ever since having covid years back extremely spicy food has never been an issue. Bit like a shit superpower really.

I got hold of these! Decent, but my issue with not really detecting spice kicked in and I didn’t get the burn I’d hoped for. I’d buy them again though, I generally like the flavour.

If anyone knows of any extremely spicy crisps that actually taste good, let me know! I’m not talking One Chip challenge stuff - I’m looking for one that’s designed to taste good, that also blows your head off a bit.

You can get those reaper chilli and lime ones in the Range, so if I'm down my local one to get stuff I'll pick up a packet. I like them, but they're definitely more about the lime than the chilli.
